"How a Russian Bot Army Is Taking Over Online Poker", by Bloomberg Originals

Poorly researched topic by Bloomberg, in my opinion.

Bloomberg: "With hundreds of millions of players joining games day or night."

I think the number is more like millions, not hundreds of millions.

Bloomberg: "No such thing as perfect poker... As a concept, it can't exist because poker has a random element and is a subjective decision making process."

Ok, so I guess you can throw GTO out the window. It's subjective, according to Bloomberg.

Bloomberg: "You can bet any object, making the possible outcomes theoretically greater than the number of atoms in the universe."

Mind boggling, truly mind boggling. Can you tell me where I can use my car keys as a bet? Because I’d really like to increase the possible outcomes to more than the number of atoms in the universe 😀

Bloomberg: "Deep Blue's 11 billion calculations per second could analyze the best movement on a chessboard, but it couldn't help it behave like a human, essential in poker. It requires a combination of sort of mathematical processing abilities to weigh risk and probability, but it also requires the ability to read other human beings and their behavior, the ability to lie convincingly, to bluff. That's why poker has become so critical for scientists developing neural networks and artificial intelligence..."

So a computer solved chess but didn't solve poker because it lacked the ability to read human beings and lie convincingly? How high do you have to be to write something like that?

Haha, yeah I guess they don't know how to spell poker 😉 That thing with the outcomes greater than the number of atoms in the universe, it's obv wrong by very many orders of magnitude but I read that before, they must of picked it up somewhere, and in the age of un-fact checked internet it just revolves more and more.
