In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there a
I think being morbidly obese that young is a serious health issue, no argument there, and it shouldn't be viewed as a positive thing. That said, I don't see the point in Gaetz slagging her off over her appearance, as it just seems needlessly nasty. But then again it's Gaetz, so hardly a surprise. Maybe if she was 17 and on low income, he'd find her more attractive.
Well we disagree then, but i wouldn't call you a communist even if you disagree with making it legal to be allowed to shoot someone who is trying to steal your car, nor i think you would call me a fascist if i want the law to allow me or anyone else to shoot at someone trying to steal his car.
I'm not calling you a fascist.
But, I think you shooting at someone trying to steal your car is a far worse offense than what the guy trying to steal your car is doing.
If you shot and killed the car thief, you should be convicted of murder.
"It's come to my attention that Matt Gaetz — alleged pedophile — has said that it's always the 'odious ... 5'2 350 pound' women that 'nobody wants to impregnate' who rally for abortion," Julian wrote. "I'm actually 5'11. 6'4 in heels. I wear them so the small men like you are reminded of your place."/The perfect attitude to get young men to vote the democratic party, no choice
If I was a GOP operative, I would be thrilled and delighted by her appointment.
She'll no doubt be a gift that keeps on giving.
Kinda like MTG and Boebert have been a gift for Dems.
Haven't heard anything from Auntie Maxine lately. Perhaps Ms. Julianna is her heir apparent.
Has this woman been chosen to make personal appearances or some sort to recruit young male voters? If so, you have a point. If she's part of some committee trying to figure things out then I don't see how anything would matter apart from the quality of her ideas.
Chick-Fil-A is kicking their pride month marketing up a notch for the Trump era.

Not new or real.
This is how almost everything should be among american states (and EU countries). A lot of differences, you think you lose you ****ing move where the polity agrees with your preferences.
Then the world settles at an equilibrium. If your request is a pure cost for others with nothing in return, at some points localities will tell you to **** you. If instead it's a more gray area of tradeoffs, then some places will give you want you want and some others won't.
What is certainly disastrous and monstrous is to ask for your preferences to be mandated at the federal level (in the USA or the EU). How violent can you be to live in Italy, and thinking you have any right to tell German people how much they should subsidize X domestically (for any X), or to live in California and think you have any right to tell Alabaman how much they should subsidize anything?

Prove it .https://www.timeshighereducation.com/wor...I with to be a failure while being ranked 3rd in the world ….Why don’t you tell us which University is great from your pov ? To believe left is worst then actual success is another kind of stupidity, like having a great thriving middle class would be wrong if it had more lef
The US executive branch is denying people due process, attacks free speech, attacks the free press, attacks the judiciary, is fighting to dictate academia in both ends (education and research) and its current leader has in the past refused peaceful transition of power and been involved in plots to subvert an election.
It is perhaps one of the best examples in the history of modern democracy about the dangers of vesting more and more power in the executive branch.
If American "libertarianism" was a serious political movement, this would be its moment to shine. However, it isn't a serious movement, it is just a lazy label of convenience. I'm sure actual libertarians exist, but for the most part what you get is lucionism, aka. badly disguised nationalism-adjacent conservatism which rejects the idea that rights are universal.
Good post

Imagine Lucio unironically posting this after foaming at the mouth over US policy for the last 2 years

I know you have problems with understanding how the US works, but I would have thought you knew that states are not nations.
Weird how obsessed all the right wingers have been with this girl since she was 14
Louisiana passed a bill banning chemtrails. lol
i don't get it either, but to be fair, she is obsessed upon by everyone
the left had to elevate her to some enlightened pedestal of "hey let's give this teenage girl a platform to speak to the UN because she's boycotting school for climate change"
her parents are also b list celebrities in sweden, so that explains how she got connected to the people who can make things happen but it is definitely both sides which have an unhealthy obsession with her
Much like most of the "both sides" going on "how dare you" was this cute little moment that lefties found adorable but righties latched onto it with an obsessive vitriol.
So then lefties are like, "why are you doing this weird hateful obsession over a 15 year old", and then suddenly its both sides
coordi, she was asked to speak to the un
clearly there was some irrational obsession going on from the left long before the right ever heard of her

Depending on the specific topic, american states can often have MORE latitude in deciding differently among themselves than european countries have.
Take VAT (value added taxes), a major gvmnt revenue source for EU countries. Did you know all contries are mandated to have a VAT, with minimum thresholds, and mandatory exemptions for specific product cathegories? american states instead are completly free to decide whether to have a sales tax or not and how high and exempting what exactly and so on.
