It's a style that relies on top-to-bottom effort, depth, generating live-ball turnovers, and inducing anxiety and fatigue in your opponent (which leads to non-elite shooting).
That's tough to pull off against good NBA teams, but Indiana seems to have the personnel to make it work more often than not.

The new trend is pretty clear. You can’t be a serious contender in this era without significant depth and good two way players. These KD style super teams don’t work because it’s near impossible to fill out the roster
