Dodgy mono river jam
The 2x pot jam needs 2/3 folds. If villain calls with all their PPs with ♣, do we fold out enough to be profitable with this line?
MP: 157.4 BB
CO: 20.7 BB
BTN: 117.3 BB
SB: 161.2 BB
Hero (BB): 100 BB
UTG: 100 BB
SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♠ J♠
UTG raises to 2.5 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 12 BB, UTG calls 9.5 BB
Flop: (24.5 BB, 2 players) 4♣ A♣ Q♣
Hero bets 7.7 BB, UTG calls 7.7 BB
Turn: (39.9 BB, 2 players) 9♣
Hero checks, UTG checks
River: (39.9 BB, 2 players) 8♣
Hero bets 80.3 BB and is all-in,

If think it's close to being neutral assuming you don't use every Kx as a bluff here. You mean calling all their pps with C on the river? I would say no we don't fold out enough.
I think betting turn is super profitable here. Vilain has very few Kx and so many Ax that now hate their life.
Not a fan of river shove because most flushes will hero you and some Ax will as well. Micro stakes players tend to panic check when they make the nuts, so I don't think his ratio of Khigh flushes/hand is lower than on the turn, making his range not weak enough to justify a shove
Yeah agreed. It's iffy at best. Also UTG will have a lot of AxK♣ combos
V snaps with T♣T♠. The crowd groans
Move up where they will respect your double over bets !
Not a fan of 3B pre, it wont be in my polar/lineal 3B vs UTG.
Because of positions, he won't have many PP imo so not that many clubs AKxc JJxc TTxc JTcc (99 should fold pre here). So with that in mind I think smaller(B50-B75) would work equaly good as all-in.
Personally, I think it’s better to big bet the turn and give up the river (say even something stupid like b80 even though it’s not a GTO size at all) than doing this even though it is fine.
The line is kinda a known line that some people teach and do though so I doubt you’ll get as much respect for doing it than you might think though so maybe even in your node, pick a smaller size as well.
Interesting idea! Thanks!
So - let's do the math first: How many combos are there who will not have a higher flush here?
That's 5 through K.
Clearly, K or J would have bet a certain amount of time on the turn, K maybe 90%, J as well?
So what's left is T through 5, except 9 and 8 which would not bet. That's 5,6,7 of clubs. All in some combo.
And when we assume that that combo is mostly suited, and not off-suit as is usual in 3 bet pots, we can reduce that even
further.
But out of feeling for "beauty" - I'd say: It's ugly! 😀
And yes: some bots will find a so called close NE in there, where shoving 98 off-suite in 24.8% of cases is optimal when they 3bet 98o in 2.4% of cases. But it's all nonsense.
It's certainly perfect, because noone with the 7c can do the maths. Even at higher limits.
So what do we do?
I love it! Thank you for that input! 😀
I must admit: I'm completely in love with this move!
Kudos!
PS: 2p2 is not dead yet. Love it!
