RT, what'd you think of Carisle's rotation tonight? I know the Nesmith injury kinda screwed it up but I thought it was awful, especially at the end of the 3rd and first 3-4 min of the 4th.

Rotation was fine. Knicks did this to Boston twice, and Boston at full strength is better than Indy. The Knicks do their really big thing where, when they turn up their defense, it forces good offenses to just play isoball.
Celts G1 and G2 and now Pacers G3 were basically identical. Team goes up by 20, then decides to play purely iso because the Knicks are closing out hard on 3pt shooters
That said, Pacers going 5/25 on 3s probably doesn't happen often. Dig deeper and its a little crazier.

That is what I don’t get and I think it happen pretty frequently ?
3 pts basket is still a « bad » shot despite what the maths says because imho, when u are almost certain to have a winning lead u would prefered lower variance and a higher % of scoring pts ?
Why not change strategy when your up 20+ pts and just aim at more « efficient » 2 pts basket and freethrows by driving the basket in the 4th quarter ?
Even with 2 pts they will have to make tremendous amount of 3 pts without ever missing and even then u would still probably be in the lead ….

They were like 20 pts leading Early 4th quarter ….why aiming 3 pts shot ?…

NBA teams don't practice multiple systems. They are what they are.
The Pacers move a lot and hope to create mismatches. They can't just switch that up quickly.
In Game 3 against the Cavs, they switched into a zone with Mobley and Allen and the Pacers scored something like 0.6 pts/possession against it. It completely broke the Pacers' offense.
The next game, after time to watch film, the Pacers scored 1.9 pts/possession against that same zone. Adjustments take time.
