Mgm poker comps best uses

At Bellagio, I like to use my comps on the club sandwich at Snacks which is only about 5o feet from the poker room.
At Aria, the bacon and eggs are great at Salt and Ivy with comps.
Lemongrass at Aria has a big, tasty basil chicken fried rice for about $20 of comps.
MGM comps are good only at the casino where they were earned.
Comps expire after one year.

Comps can only be used at the property they are printed at, so Bellagio comps can only be used at Bellagio etc.

Unfortunately the food options at the Bellagio are the worst of all MGM properties. I usually order from Noodles or if I’m lazy a slice of pizza from the Snacks place next to the poker room.

No they don’t transfer between casinos.

And they expire after a year unless MGM changes their mind and expires them quicker than that.

Use them up so they don’t get taken away from you!

Years ago players were told comps never expire. Then one day they suddenly expired after a year and if you had a huge number of comps older than a year, then you lost them all.

Are you talking about poker comps or MGM comps that you get with offers? Poker comps, which is they $2 an hour, can only be used at the property you played at 100%. Comps with offers can be used at any MGM property.

Also they technically expire after a year but if you have a good volume just ask the floor and they will restore it for you, no issues.

Tell him to give them to PokerNomad or Trooper, he can meet up with a genuine vlogging legend that way and maybe, become famous in the act.

I'm kidding, just spend them on some food outlet at the Bellagio, even if it is just for breakfast at the Bellagio or in their deli, .... that's what they are meant for.

I plan to use my Bellagio comps at their buffet next time. well short of the total cost but still think it's probably worth it. haven't seen the Snacks place, I'll have to look at that

Aria has Posh Burger next to the poker room. it's like $20 for a burger without fries so no value but it's something easy. Lemongrass is good.

Mandalay Bay has a bunch of good options to eat at with poker comps.

CET allows you to use hourly comps for whatever you might buy that's owned by CET. I usually use them to reduce charges to my room when I check out. Can you do that with MGM?

Snacks use to have these great steak tacos years ago, still annoyed they got rid of that from the menu. I don't know if Noodles still takes poker comps, but that was an option in the past.

I have like $30 in MGM Grand specific poker comps I need to use as they expire soon. Is there any cheap or take out place to use it? When I briefly asked about where to use when I was leaving, desk person wasn't sure. I think the person mentioned on higher end sit down restaurant.

This is correct. But I assume since the comps were printed they are poker comps. The offer comps don’t need to be printed. You charge them to the room so they are only valid during the stay.

Otoh offer comps are good at all MGM restaurants in LV.

Easier to do if you’re a local or in Vegas a lot, or tip really well. Or if you play in 1 or 2 rooms a lot instead of several.

Aria restored my comps because I was a regular there. Bellagio said they would only give me back lost comps if I needed them. Other rooms (that I didn’t play in as much) gave me nothing back.

The comp that the Bellagio poker room prints for you also allows you to go into the express line at the buffet or at Sadelle's. I prefer to use it at the latter for a nice breakfast.

Looks like about 3 people suggested the bellagio buffet. My friend said he wanted to use it for the buffet last time he was there and that wasnt one of the options. Hopefully hes wrong and you guys are right because the buffet sounds like exactly what he wants.

FWIW, I think the Bellagio buffet is pretty mediocre; definitely below what the standard of a property like Bellagio should meet. But the heart wants what it wants.

I tried the buffet twice in 10 or so years and got mild food poisoning both times. It’s probably one of the worst buffets left in Vegas.

Huh? I’ve used comps at the buffet several times although almost every time was before Covid. So it’s been a while since I used them there. I always thought the buffet was pretty good.

It’s not as good or Caesars or Wynn buffet but better than the ones at cheaper properties.

that buffet was really good about ten years ago. had it twice since covid- bad and awful.

pretty sure El Diesel used poker comps for Bellagio buffet.

I've had the buffet there multiple times and I liked it.

There is a perfect place to spend $30 30 steps away from the MGM Poker Room. So I'm guessing you're cashing out after hours.
