Because a few of the infiltrators lived in an apartment complex in Germany that also housed someone suspected of being a a member. They knew all this the next day but didn't realize it over the years of the infiltration despite multiple alerts to the infiltrators from internal and external sources, because bureaucracy. And of course not only did our security fail for years at every step of the way, including immigration checks and not defending airspace because of simulation of the same type of event that specific day, but our buildings cooperated as well. This invading pest control team could have never anticipated the buildings going down, which would be against the best guesses from those who built them, but they got the supersize upgrade for free when not two, but 3 skyscrapers went down in a total destruction and dustification never before witnessed before or since. So not only was this society super lucky for years in their execution, but then they knocked down 3 skyscrapers with 2 planes when they had to figure none of the buildings would fall. And this version of events happened to give the political support needed for the transfer of trillions of dollars and the advancement of a geo politics premised on control of the oil of the region from which the infiltrators came, not to mention the roll out of a surveillance state which had been quietly assembled and was awaiting to be unleashed on the domestic population.
