President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

not really.
it just hard to believe for me that Obama and kamala harris were white supremacist thats all.

When it suits his argument, Victor will define white supremacism as participating, however directly or indirectly, in a system in which white people enjoy structural advantages.

And sure, we can define terms however we want, but under that definition, everyone American citizen who posts here, including Victor, is a white supremacist.

Victor might come back and say that he doesn't necessarily think a black or Hispanic day laborer who is working to avoid starvation is a white supremacist, but he definitely thinks that every land owner, executive, boss, Democratic or Republican politician, prosecutor, police officer, etc., is.

Again, that isn't the definition that comes to mind for most people when they hear the term white supremacist. Using the term white supremacist to describe both Obama and David Duke isn't a productive way to discuss race with most people.

White supremacy is about power invested in and wielded by the ruling classes in countries historically dominated by Europeans first and foremost, not race.

Of course a black person like Obama was working to uphold the establishment which is institutionally built to favour white people. It’s not usual to call him a white supremacist but he nevertheless clearly believes in the system that sees a nation founded by Europeans dictate to other nations often run by non Europeans how they should conduct their internal business including their governments, and that domestically sees black people disproportionately punished for crimes.

Damn its just white supremacy all the way down

If she didn't convict criminals, she would have been labeled soft on crime.

It's a no win w/ conservatives.

maybe you guys shouldnt cater to conservatives if you want to escape the White Supremacist label. the prison system is quite obv intended to reinforce racial hierarchy in this country so yes, the person running the prosecutions in the biggest state in the country is serving White Supremacy.

ofc almost everyone in the USA or even Western world benefits from and reinforces the system. some more than others.

Indeed! This is exactly why every self respecting university needs to have at least 5 tenured professors of decolonial studies.

As I'm sure you realize, I wasn't suggesting that the world is a level playing field.

Since I'm an unapologetic white supremacist, can I be the grand wizard? I always wanted to be a wizard! Can wizards grant their own wishes?

I think you get a special hat.

Very easy to mock things that you've just admitted you don't understand.

It Does inDeeD Deserve a special hat.

Sometimes you don't understand something because you're too dumb. Other times you don't understand something because the thing is too dumb. I don't understand quantum mechanics because I'm not smart enough, yet I also don't understand Playbig and BJ's space laser theory on what really brought down the towers on 9/11 and I'm still very comfortable mocking it.

That may be so, but it isn't the case that you're ignorant about the 9/11 space laser because you paid no attention in school and lacked intellectual curiosity after it.

Humour me, what is it that I don't understand? The epiphanous principle you and Victor and your types have formulated that the Western world and everyone in it who isn't a dirt poor nonwhite is one big white supremacy? I mean, it may be true by whatever idio[strike]syncra[/strike]tic definition of "white supremacy" you're using, but it's also completely useless in advancing any sort of productive discussion, as Rococo also alluded to.

The absolute state of things

Pretty much...

They have a base of people who will believe whatever they say, and have constructed a brilliant false equivalency narrative to convince those same people that the "other side" is doing the same kinds of things.

Up is down, down is up.

Among other politics things, believing that "there have been plenty of nonwhite politicians in parliament and in cabinet roles" has much bearing on anything.

you're smart enough to understand QM very well

The thing about bills are... beyond all the brainwashing, lies, and distortions, bills are black and white letters of intent.

Trump was on the phone, by many reports, yelling at holdouts on this bill. Does anyone think the Senate isn't going to pass this thing? This thing is passing, and probably with little to no changes.

Wonna bet the changes Senate GOP will pass will be extremely significant, and the house won't automatically accept them?

I am surprised at how much power you guys think Trump has

According to victor definition any indian who is happy with Palestinians being killed (because he hates Muslim people) is a white supremacist, which is kinda grotesque to say.

so when a murderer gets sent to prison that’s the same as sending someone to prison for a traffic ticket?

face it, this argument falls apart once you start talking about real crimes people are being sent to jail for. when you keep it vague it sounds reasonable but specifics are the enemy of pseudo-academic CRT babble

Largely to underscore how ****ing ridiculous it is to start calling these people "white supremacists" and to demonstrate that your definition of "white supremacist" is anyone in a Western country with any money or power.

Nigerian blacks that sent black Nigerians to prison are white supremacist

According to them a Japanese person who lives in Japan is a white supremacist if he is pro Israel and anti Hamas

No, I'm not, but I'm smart enough to know that I'm not.
