He lost the 50 lbs of muscle as quick as he gained it. When you can no longer take the "supplements" that helped you gain 50 lbs of muscle you return to status quo. He was always a scrawny ***.

Rice will game the system, but he is a stickler for the rules, and while cheap by nature, he will abide by the rules. Three of seven days he plans to work a shift at CET and Orleans, which would allow a minimum of two kosher EDR visits within the day. He will still get one EDR visit the other four days, and can employ his starvation method to maximize free calorie intake.
Dining Schedule (10 guaranteed meals over seven days, plus more if he picks up random WSOP shifts, plus possible double dipping at The Orleans if allowed).

You're right he will stay within the technical rules of the EDR rubric but there's still a good chance he ruins it for everyone.
I understand his past of abusing favorable situations, and I don't know the specifics of these EDR's, but I doubt they are buffet type situations with as many trips as you wish during a sitting.
It's more likely like Morrison's Cafeteria back in the day. You go thru the line once and grab one main dish, some sides, maybe a small salad and desert and that's it, you are done.
You can't really abuse that, and there is no way he would jeopardize his employment by taking some pocket bread and condiments with him on the way out.
Lol it's absolutely hilarious that everyone seems to think Rice is above breaking the EDR rubric to further his own interests.
He's self-reported multiple times about pocketing food from buffets/lounges in the past; so he's not above reproach when it comes to blurring the rules for free food.

I actually discussed this with my partner as shes a specialist working in a hospital and they have an "EDR" too. She said barely anyone she knows eats there regularly as they all prefer to purchase much better quality and freshly made food from the other eateries otherwise they bring their own.
I asked her how many times she had eaten in the EDR and she said it was less than 5 times over the last few years

Rice is happier than a pig in **** finally getting a livable wage + free food in EDR. For sure he will over-indulge in these new luxuries, sleep and walk less then gain another residual 30+ lbs by year end.

So the effect of the massive rake is less at LHE
And they have a high hand promo which favors limit players;
and double comps and tier credits so he can get closer to having free parking.
And probably the most important factor- trooper is terrible at NLHE
Valid points, otoh an orbit of blinds costs $6 as opposed to $4 for NL. Plus LHE plays faster than NL, so the blinds will come around faster.
For me, I'm not going to be able to play enough to get a meaningful number of tier credits to matter.

I think he would clearly be worse at limit from having never played it. And the rake is absurd for a low stakes game in my opinion.
A couple of upsides though is he wouldn’t lose $1k in a limit session, and playing hands like ace-rag offsuit, and making bad postflop calls doesn’t hurt a player as much. A player can go on massive tilt, raising with garbage all the time and get really lucky in limit.
The bad beats in limit could really affect someone with tilt problems though. If he runs really badly and gets bad beat after bad beat after bad beat (which happens a lot in limit), he might quit poker for good.
