For those of you who haven't been paying attention for the last 9 years or so.
The only remote possibility of Trooper ever working for 'the man' again is if Lady Trooper (Christina) runs out of money, and she is showing no signs of doing that.

I truly believe she has spent over a 100 thousand dollars of her money supporting that deadbeat Trooper.

That's when Trooper was in his 40's. Now he's in his 50's and recent events have shown him he can't easily weasel his way through being broke. He may realize he needs to quit screwing around and do something to establish some sort of future for him and the missus.

ladytrooper seems like a genuinely nice lady unlike the previous ladies the trooper has dated.

I always felt like the previous ones thought trooper was more famous than he actually was and wanted exposure on the vlogs and the atrention and once they realized the reality they noped right out.

the trooper is genuinely lucky to have met ladytrooper, she seems loyal and kind hearted.

y'all can hate on the trooper all you want but in this case he hit the jackpot

He's pretty stupid. He might go back to waitering.

He just spent a year working 12+ hour days to lose money on something with no real upside.

Timmayyy

That's only cos he wasn't working for The Man.

Ironically, he was the worst The Man that he's ever had lol. Longest work hours for the lowest pay.

You mean the most interesting homeless man in the world.

Thanks for the correction. A vlog of his by that title would easily get 500k homeless subscribers vs his 6k current subs. Once again, El Diesel misses the boat.

Agreed if he fully embraced the homeless moniker and dropped the ego by rebranding himself as a shameless Ivy League Hobo that loiters at poker tables while barely playing any hands for free food/comps then he would experience additional growth. He could capitalize on more charity, sympathy, intrigue, and general bewilderment. Instead, we are just left with bizarre, delusional Rice/Diesel who self proclaims himself as elite in a variety of categories despite being in the lowest tier of achievement and salary amongst society despite his educational background.

by borg23

Timmay isn't gonna change now.

Exactly.

If Timmy cared to fix his tilt issues he would have done so a decade or two ago! Problem with his kind is they always blame everything and everyone else around them.

ELD appears from the top of Harrah's parking garage.

ELD reports that he played at 87 poker rooms and will soon play at 100 to reach a challenge/goal.

ELD reports he has excellent data on the 90's baseball and not much prior to that. In 99, ELD knew ever starter in Major League Baseball and every active player on the Mets roster.

ELD deals in Nevada due to 1) Vegas is the best for alot of hours in a short time and 2) ELD states people recruited him for PH due to his celebrity status and 3) Nevada is a great state to earn tier points.

ELD states he could hypothetically go weeks on a zero food budget due to comps.

With only youtube a youtuber could starve until his channel is monetized and he gets his first payment.

The thing that separates Trooper and Rice is Trooper actually shows some humility especially in earlier vlogs that is kinda endearing he has admitted when he was was broke struggling and made mistakes etc.

Rice on the other hand thinks he is a genius and does everything right in his own mind and that ego just is a major turnoff for viewers I feel like.

Trooper also seems to have more poker ability and is willing to take chances in life and poker and actually go on 4 figure swings and live in an actual apartment where as Rice just seems to play and live in a very scared manner.

I also think Rice could be an extreme narcissist and compulsive liar. He has said stuff like he has a lot of money in retirement funds, has had a gf while living in Vegas before which are unverified and I believe to just be made up lies.

Yup, and ive said the same thing multiple times. I think its close to zero chance Rice has this socalled 100K portfolio,or any kind of money on that level tucked away. And yeah, is it possible to be extremely frugal in the way you live your life, and at the same time having good chunk of money saved up? Yes it is, but those cases are very few and far between, its much more likely that Rice is making up these lies to make himself look more successfull than he actually is.

It just reminds me of the lies we experienced from Bikeking, when he was sleeping in his car and looked like he hadnt been eating in weeks-but of course at the same time he was claiming he had a 50K in his bank account. Sure dude sure, and i am santa himself visiting next christmas.

Edit: 9 out of 10 times if you see people live like a broke loser, it is because they are indeed a broke loser. What you see is what you get.

Getting to 6 figures isn't that hard over 8-10 years if you actually consciously save and I've never seen a bigger cheap ass than Diesel so it's not a stretch that he has 6 figures in his portfolio.

Even making 30k net a year for someone like Diesel would be enough to get there.

Sure, you got it on point.

Totally standard for guys that have been homeless for years, earning below poverty wage for years, getting a mental breakdown when they lose 160 bucks with AA causing them to leave town for half a year and goes on long stretches to starve themself to save couple of dollars on food to have 100K+ in the bank locked up.

For a normal human with a career yes, I just don’t believe a struggling 1/2 poker pro has much of anything even with the discipline to live frugally and save.

Aside from living the way he does…I also think any sensible person would try to increase his income using the savings through moving up in stakes, paying for coaching or maybe actually finding a career after struggling for two decades…

But hey this is coming from an Ivy League graduate that doesn't believe in inflation affecting him even when he can see it does on a daily basis through rake increases and hotel resort fee increases…

and these reasons you listed are why I think it's possible he has 100k saved even if he likely never made more than $15/hour.

If he was acting the way he does out of necessity like you are saying then will he start to spend more now that he's dealing full time and will make way more money than he needs? Or will he keep being the same cheap ass?

Rice puts Alan Kessler to shame when it comes to being a tight ass. It"s totally possible that Rice would live the exact same impoverished lifestyle regardless of how much money he has to his name. The only time he seems to ever treat himself well is when someone else is picking up the tab or when he is paying with comps.

No, its the oposite-the reasons ive listed and that we all know following Rice is reasons why its most likely he does NOT have 100K saved up.

As ive said earlier, 9 out of 10 times when you see people live like broke losers in life, the reason is simply because they are broke losers without money.

Rice isnt blowing up at the Red Rock Massacre hand because he lost 160 bucks that he could have added to the 100K portfolio: he lost his shyt because he is dead broke, those 160 bucks means the world to him because he has been struggling to survive and keep it together for years as a breakeven promo 1/2 grinder.

we all know Diesel is coping and acting like he doesn't want to play higher stakes because he doesn't need to when the reality is he knows he can't beat the game long term. I also think that his aversion to losing money makes it too painful for him to play higher stakes so he doesn't.

He is clearly on the spectrum and has flawed logic and has massive cope to deal with his failures in life.

Every broke poker player I've seen has had trouble even playing poker since they are busto and don't even have enough for a buyin and ends up driving uber or living in their car while claiming to be a winning poker player but they don't even play. Diesel has never had trouble getting into a game and I think does play 1300+ hours a year, so that shows me he is not close to broke but just a cheap ass.

If he was truly close to dead broke as you say he wouldn't even be able to buy into games and play the amount of hours he does.

Most broke players that claim to be winning players barely play poker simply because they are constantly busto and can't even handle a 2 buyin downswing and can't even afford to short buy into a session.

When i say dead broke i dont mean literally zero dollars in his account, but rather so close to broke that winning 100 bucks or losing 160 with AA is big swings in his shoes.

I would guess he has a working roll in the 2-3K department, or something like that. When you dont have a perma adress and constantly is on the move depending on your car+constantly booking hotels/airbnb i would call that basically broke. Of course its no problem for him to fire a 200 bullet, he doesent need money at all to play really because he ragequits the game if he loses that 1 buyin. In rare instances he seems to be willing to fire 2 buyins into the game.

We agree that Rice obviously is massively coping in life to cover all his failures/loser status in life. And i think its very likely this whole ultra frugal nomad lifestyle is one big cope for him in order to survive as long as possible without any real income. Rice figured out when he cant earn any significant money on poker, he can go the other way around and cut cost of living to the absolute bone-if he could he would likely make it absolutely free to live so he could boast about being a pokerpro without winning any money at all. He isnt starving himself or living as a homeless because he is saving up money imo, he is doing this in order to survive and because he doesent have any real money to spend. It did came to an end last year when he just coudnt keep it together anymore, and was likely forced to take the dealing gig at Orleans to get some real income going.

Not confirmed as far as I know (may not even be Jewish), but totally reasonable assumption is that he got $15-20k in bar mitzvah gifts and has let it grow untouched. I did the math at some point and that checked out.

Separately, Jaman’s last two vlogs are entertaining at the table poker vlogs with a LA lag driving a ton of action. Worth watching.

If after two years of dealing to lead to retirement a Nomad could get a cheap boat for $2000 then it is possible to live in a 20 foot to 30 foot boat for $350 to $500 per month in Stockton California with free wifi and solar panels for electricity. Load about 100 pounds of rice in the boat and set up the rice cooker.

However, I don’t think Fat Zach is Jewish. His last name is likely German or Austrian origin.

I always thought Rice was the better poker player. A big reason why IMO is he throws away trash like ace-rag offsuit.

Trooper is willing to take much bigger chances though, true.
