Goal to play 50k hands of .20NL in ClubGG private club with winrate 5-7bb/100 EV

But if background I have been playing poker for something like 8-10 years although I have not grinded this entire time due to life I probably only have around 150-300k hands played lifetime with varying results. I have had small samples of really great winrate at 25NL zone on Ignition casino.

I have 30k hands played on GTOWizards trainer with about an %80 overall GTOW score, though I can pretty easily place in the 90th percentile now for a single session.

My biggest leaks are mostly mental game, as I habitually play too high for my bankroll. I also have a problem making hero folds. My biggest leak is calling jams from fish when I have a big hand but deep down I know it's never a bluff. I've been working on it really hard and making some progress on making big folds has recently increased my winrate a ton.

Also my mental game playing through downswings is getting better before downswings made me so discouraged and do stupid **** like move up stakes where I have only like 2-3 buy ins and lose my entire roll.

I just started a new session my bankroll was only $60 of rakeback in a private club. I get something like %50 rakeback. I managed to hit a major upswing and I now have an aggressive but respectable bankroll for .10/.20 of just $350.

I will post progress here and see if we can make it to 50NL or just have a good position EV winrate for 50k-100k hands.

I play Omaha and Hold Em but mostly Hold Em as that's the game I know the most about. Here is the first 3000 hands.

About 2/3rd of the way through I hit a downswing and fell into habit of calling stupid **** again. But I made conscious effort to stop playing and regroup myself and I made it through the downswing and came back up. Only made 2 or 3 bad calls like my old self but Im proud of the way I handled it.

I hope this thread will help me to play better since I will be embarrassed if I bust.

Was up to $350 started losing pretty hard not by making bad calls but by jamming some hands that were the nuts then ended up being second or third nuts and just running into the top of villains range.

It is bad luck but could probably also be avoided by taking more GTO approach. I was being too greedy and it backfired. Kind of tilted towards the end so I'm gonna stop playing for awhile.

End at $203

The swings are diabolical. I'm not going to play anymore Omaha, bankroll cut in half in like 500 hands. Not even sure if I can complete the challenge on the bankroll anymore. I may just deposit and have at least 30 buy ins.

$150 in roll.

Omaha graph

Worst run of all sessions so far kept getting stacked for 200bb at a time thought I was going to go bust figures as soon as I make the post I would run like this I'm back to where I started with just $70.

Will keep going but wouldn't be surprised if busto tomorrow.

Just wanted to say I like your approach and your transparency about the grind. 50k hands at 20NL is a solid challenge, and I think tracking everything like you do will pay off big in the long run.

Will be following along. Wishing you steady progress and hope you crush that 3k milestone soon!

GL at the tables!

Thanks bud

Bit of redemption today back to $170

Trying not to get too emotional about the swings which are really intense like 5 buy ins down and up in just 1000 hands that's wild variance. I couldn't help it when it looked like I was going to bust.

I don't know how to play deep stacked poker seems like when I have to battle whales on a big heater I make some massive mistakes. I lost most of the bankroll to two guys who were just calling any two preflop to any size bet and just nailing flops it was kind of ridiculous tbh.

If I can just avoid another huge downswing for today and tomorrow rakeback comes on Monday and I should be back to 30 buy ins as I've raked over 1000bb this week.

I felt like I missed a ton of value here by not jamming river but the way things went last night I am bitch scared to jam anything multiway or deep stacked or both

Decided on large c bet size here vs what is probably a wide range in 3bet pot.

I felt like I spewed here and caught a huge break. I'm not sure if JTs has the equity needed for a 3 way all in when both opponents are weird stack sizes. 40bb and 20bb. If anyone knows how to figure this out please lmk.

I felt like this fold was kind of weak but I tend to call too much thinking opponents are just spewing off but really they're just never bluffing so I just decided to overfold in this spot to the pot sized donk bet

Ace high call down.

I try to keep my checking range very strong multiway but here it backfired and opponent hit a straight still not a huge loss.

I'm not sure how to deal with tiny 3 bets. I think some fish just don't know the proper 3bet size and their 3bet is still super nutted most of the time even though it should be wider. I decided to jam flop because I think he calls with pretty much everything so I'm not just running into the top of his range.

I think optimally here you would just keep the SPR small by check calling although you can play it any kind of way and there's really no wrong way to play this hand so I try to max exploit my opponents in this spot.

We've been redeemed approx 17bb/100 EV and were at $200 or 10 buy ins which is an extremely aggressive bankroll but it's ClubGG so I'm not worried the emotional rollercoaster ride is hard but that's how it is.

Rakeback comes Monday and should give us a good cushion.

So two of the biggest EV spots today I lost insane variance still hanging on by a thread.

Overall I am satisfied with my play. Somehow I have been raked over 12 buy ins in just over 4000 hands so I really am crushing the game I'm just losing to rake and variance.

My mistakes of making bad calls and not laying down when my opponent is showing real strength are getting fewer and further between my game is probably the best it's ever been and I'm going to keep getting better.

How am I getting raked this hard?

So I learned that my clubs rake is insanely high and I am only offered %30 rakeback so I'm moving to ACR the goal is still to play 50k hands but I will have to move to 5NL since my roll will not last. I will have a job soon and may deposit again but until then the goal changes to 50k hands at 5nl and have a positive winrate on ACR. I'm going to play ZOOM so it will move faster.

Here is my end result in the club along with the rake format.

Disappointing but I am satisfied with my overall game I'm not making as many mistakes as before and staying off tilt pretty much during downswings.

Stay encouraged through downswings and work on your game. Never move up beyond your stakes. Its just a gamble and terrible for your mental game.

I'm not impressed at all with ACR low traffic the site and software sucks I don't understand the rakeback system if I have any at all I'm going to go back to ignition casino and complete the 50k hands there with no rakeback. It has the best software available I'm so disgusted with the state of online poker for Americans we can't play any good sites.

Alright so I've switched to ACR I'm not gonna lie it's growing on me the Blitz pool 25NL is plenty soft. I was beating it for like 1000 hands then I started doing the same dumb **** bro I don't know why I can't stop.

Like I'm becoming better at it but it's like it always begins with a cooler then once I get hit with the cooler a downswing comes and I feel like they don't really have it and they're just ****ing with me.

So I start calling with strong hands that are like mid though no where near the nuts like say 77 in a 3 bet pot and the board comes 23353 now the guy shoved and I know the relative hand strength of my 77s is ****ing nothing now but I ****ing click the call button because I think I'm getting pushed around and he just flips over 99s and there goes another buy in.

First hand I flop trip Q's as the big blind on a paired board QQ2 I check raised get called check the turn that brings a flush draw because I know the line check turn bet river with make him call the river completed a flush I bet half pot he jams and now I know I'm ****ing beat so what do I do? ****ing press the call button.

This started it all. Anyway down like 4 buy ins just from doing this dumb **** so I just quit playing. I didn't sleep any last night and I think being tired has a lot to do with impulsiveness and having a short fuse if I play tired I get frustrated and start calling dumb ****.

Anyway aside from that I was beasting the pool and I did hit some really bad beats so I'm not beating myself up but at some point I mean I realize that as long as I am making these mistakes I will never make it as a poker player it is so hard to beat these sites you are ****ing lucky if you win playing perfectly if you make a lot of mistakes it cancels out all the times you outplayed them.

Here's some highlights I'm going to get on my laptop and shoot the first graph from ACR tonight I hope.

Notice people doing some really soft **** in the 25nl blitz pool on ACR
I check raised this guy having the K high flush on flop not sure about this one raise but he just jams in my face so I call thinking wow he's got a ****ing nut flush but he just has ****ing 99s. Turn was like oh my **** not again but lucky it didn't pair on river.

Next

This hand is one of those spots where I completely outplayed and just absolutely destroy my opponent but he miraculously wins.

So the guy 5 bets me in position deep stacked with his AKo I have JJ deep stacked so I call it off and flop is great for me but he's still got all the QQ KK AA so I check knowing I have to get it in anyway so why bet and make him fold his bluffs? I need him to have bluffs on his range and he does jam with AKo and I call but he hits a ****ing K the very next card.

This hand didn't bother me at all because I played it so perfect. But the hands where I ****ing know I need to mak a point to overfold **** and it's all I think about when I'm playing is bro don't call light just overfold and then I do it anyway it's like this impossible mental tick. Its literally the only thing holding me back from being a professional player.

Ok rant over will come with charts I'm gonna stay out of the blitz pool for awhile and grind 5nl and 10nl until I can have a decent sized roll.

So I got my rakeback from the clubGG app guys and I asked them for %50 and they said not unless I raked over 500 per week. Which if they were smart at all they would notice that if I raked 250 dollars in two days that I would of course rake it in a week but I'm not doing it at this insane rake so they could have just given me the %50 but they refused to I just withdrew my money and left.

I received over 110 dollars in rakeback so I added that to the bankroll and then I destroyed everyone on 4 tables of 10NL for a few hours over about 500 hands or so and I would have been up 6 buy ins but one guy got it in with me twice at 150bb deep and won a flip both times. But I'm really starting to love ACR you can multitable as much as you want the games are soft they remind me of ignition casino and I really like how its just set up for you to be able to grind I see why grinders choose this site. It doesn't try to stop you from being a pro player it just lets you do what you do.

Also I'm aware that this blog is disorganized and looks like **** I still can't get my graphs right now because I don't have any tracking software because all I have is a work laptop that will not allow downloading any programs on it so just bear with me and I will clean this **** up and get my ACR graphs on here.

Bankroll is at $210 and we're playing 10NL from now on until we get to 30 buy ins of 25NL. Then we will continue.

Here is the first 3,000 hands at 10NL on ACR.

I can play about anywhere from 600-1600 hands per day. I could grind 12-16 hours a day but I'd rather play small sessions and review the hands in Hand2Note and GTOWizard.

One thing I've noticed, before I was blue lining everyone in ClubGG or on Ignition, I haven't red lined like this since I first began playing poker before I learned to have a checking range etc. So ACR players are really lukewarm, they aren't just spewing like ClubGG private club people but then again they aren't doing anything too impressive either. I'm running them over but you can see in the middle there I started to call too much when they had it.

My strategy now after seeing this graph, I can just run these guys over, and fold when they bet anything turn/river OOP. It's super easy game, I just 3-bet a lot and out play them in 3bet pots. 4bet bluffing works here too. Not overboard but just using a normal range pretty much although I do get out of line and 3bet/4bet out of GTOWizard ranges but only because they overfold/are passive postflop. Easy game. The first week or so of playing a new player pool is always the hardest until you get the hang of it. Anyway I've got about 10k hands played now between ACR and GG so lets go probably complete this challenge in a month and a half.

Well the challenge so far is a failure, I went bust on ACR, I didn't run great but I could have still won if not for some big mistakes.

One big mistake was I went down about 4 buy ins in a 10nl game and instead of taking the loss I tried ACRs 50/50 (supposedly, I found out later there are 2 jokers in the deck giving them a %4 edge) to regain my loss and I lost the coin flip so I was down 8 buy ins instead of 4.

That cut my bankroll in half as we were already very aggressively shot taking and it never recovered.

Towards the end I was pretty much playing on tilt. Nothing to see there, the last 4 or 5 buy ins of 5nl probably. This challenge kind of sucked so I will try to make a better one later. First of all we were doing great in the beginning and then we got hit with the insane rake, so moving to ACR a different playground complete, we went from blue lining to complete red lining and a different pool of players completely.

No excuses and I can just admit defeat cause I've been bust so many times and the only thing you can do is take your sample study the leaks and come back to the game in a few months when you're better. I'm probably not going anywhere from the poker world for awhile. Will post full results later.
