It's an absolute failure. They can't get dealers. We were told they would be hosting circuit events which they COULD if they had dealers but they can't get dealers. PERIOD. Now here comes a bunch replies about how I'm wrong and everything is great with massive success lmao see you at foxwoods' epic new room

These casinos want to only hire people for part time hours but then expect them to be available 7 days a week. It makes it difficult for those that may work other jobs or for those that need the medical insurance. Any experience dealer can get hired part time tomorrow at any casino in New England

Absolute failure is a bit hyperbolic.

Bravo is an improvement
More than 12 tables running is an improvement.

Things just move too slow with corporations. They do lack dealers.

Well, duh. They gave a few million dollars to a cabal of West-coast consultants who came up with the brilliant ideas of making the tables 9-handed and getting on modern poker software. Half the people on this thread could have told them that in exchange for a comped meal for two at Fred & Steve's Steakhouse, but oh well. Long story short, I don't think they have any money left over to hire full-time dealers.

But I'm sure it's the union's fault somehow! /s

Actually, I hope things don't progress any farther than the point they are at right now. Bringing in promos won't make for better games, it will just increase the rake. Currently there are new tables (nine handed), better chairs, and games listed on Bravo. I consider that a win!

This is where I am at as well.

Agreed. A rake/promo drop of $8+$3 would push me to play more often in NH and MGM.

Any update on when high hand or bad beat promos will be in place?

There are high hands graphics and a tournament clock now on the tvs screens. As for the exact start date I am nor sure

NVM all that they're gonna be hosting 2 WSOPC events per year now thanks to maverick gaming................ lmao

I will be interested to see if and when they get tournament off the ground

July 8 maybe

July 8 maybe

Talked to a floor person I know, said they are 6 months at least away from tournaments. They don’t have enough dealers or floor people for them.

What are the details of the high hand promo?

every 30 minutes

Sunday - Thursday from noon to midnight

high hand gets $200
second best high hand gets $100

Ace High Flush Minimum Qualifier

Cant be good news

Yeah with twins room being such a booming success and all...

Someone asked on X “How does this affect Ballys in Providence that only recently rebranded its poker room to Maverick Gaming with the promise of an incoming stream and circuit events? I was just playing there yesterday and am going back today. Great room!” and Eric Perrson responded back quickly with “It won”t”

I like the room a lot. However 10(8 +2) rake on Friday and Saturday when the high hand is not running is wrong

lmao high hand is no longer offered on sundays after less than a month

$8+$2 rake 7 days a week

no comp alcohol

Don’t play during hours where they aren’t paying the High Hand if it bothers you.

Many others are already doing this. Last week a dealer told me that weekends have been significantly slower since the additional $2 drop was implemented and the high hand isn’t eligible to be hit during those hours.
