NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
durant played like a quarter of that series
not that i think you gotta beat the warriors at completely full strength to earn your title
but the klay inj basically ended the series
All of you can suck my dick for trying to disparage The Raptors winning a title of destiny.
They were also missing 40 Mil player OG during that series.
But it was predestined the Raps would win. They sold their souls to the fans when they traded Derozan and got rewarded for doing so.
Kawhi should have def stayed 1 more season for the run back the season that never was.
WE THE NORTH
WE THE NORTH
Even kids were yelling in the streets where I live during the finals cause **** was hype everywhere across Canada.
To be fair the nuggets won the fakest title ever
This squad a close second though
That Nugget roster would plow through any team this year. They actually had a bench. Guy's like Bruce Brown, KCP and Jeff Green and Reggie Jackson were champion quality players. They had the best starting five. They would have beaten any team their championship year in the playoffs. Nothing fake about it.
wow crazy that jimmy is useless out here and can't dominate like in a practice where nobody else cares

Kawhi def should have run it back for a 1+1 with a player option.
the raptors were up 3-1 in the series when durant got hurt, and klay was injured after that
Durant played literally 12 minutes in the series, c'mon man.
The Klay call is a bit of a stretch, but GSW had a decent Q4 lead in G6 when he went down. They were definitely still live.
I wasn't even trying to disparage their title though, my whole point was just that you can find something wrong with just about every title run. They all still count.
Pistons beating the Lakers might have been the last real title.
blazers also would have taken out the lakers one of those other years without massive riggage. that era was peak stern bullshit
And let's not forget the phantom foul they called on Laimbeer vs Kareem in 1988 to outright steal a championship from the Pistons:
Literally three rigged championships went to the Lakers and that's not even including the bubble championship, the fakest in NBA history. Never EVER forget.

great ringer article: This Is the End of the Celtics as We Know Them
I think Jaylen Brown is 100% going to get traded, while Derrick White is probably 50% to get traded.
Magic would jump at the opportunity to land White.
White's defense is so clutch and he can totally "run the show" while allowing Paolo to still be point-forward. I'd much rather have him than Trae.
yeah I meant KP, who is about to turn 30 but probably isn't long for the team given cap situation/health concerns.
I think KP, Jrue, Horford may have played their last game with Celts
White is the perfect #3 behind Tatum/Brown fit wise (short of someone just way better than him) so don't see him going anywhere. Don't see Brown going anywhere either. Don't understand why people think they would be dealt.
I said in beginning of season that I'd let McLovin run the show for the Knicks but it seems as if he needs some help as Knicks TROLLING the League during the regular season might be to much for this thread to handle.
Do you people know how NYers are when we know we have the top team in the league? We are the WISEST and all you ****** in REAL TROUBLE.

I mean dat in way during reg. Season that we already knew. Dats what me meant when say Dat.
Wink.
Surely the 2019 Lakers are the fakest of all the fake champions.
Shortened season due to Covid, and playoffs were in the bubble. They beat
Portland (35 wins) in 5
Houston (44 wins) in 5
Denver (46 wins) in 5
Miami (44 wins) in 6
It was a shortened season so posting the number of wins those teams had is purposefully misleading.
Houston/Denver/Miami are all 50+ win teams easily if the season was completed.
Lakers road was pretty easy all things considered though, but I think they were the best team
Houston was about to be done after the Russ/Covington trades didn't work so great, Denver wasn't really Denver yet, Miami lost Dragic and Bam in the finals
but you can really do this most years in recent times....Look at GS 2015 run how much of a joke it was
the raptors were up 3-1 in the series when durant got hurt, and klay was injured after that
Klay also missed Game 3. Looney missed a game as well and played the rest of the series with broken ribs.
I see it this way.
Warriors had won 6 straight games in the Semis and WCF without Durant. Then they went to Toronto and stole home court by splitting Game 1/2 without Durant.
Then Klay missed Game 3 and it unraveled from there (still without Durant). There's a breaking point when you run out of bodies.
