Alabama white BBQ sauce is far, far from ubiquitous in Alabama. If you went to a BBQ place in Alabama, you would find plenty of people eating BBQ without any sauce that contained mayonnaise.

Rich people would get round inheritance laws by making lifetime transfers, as already happens with large estates in the UK. Ever more totalitarian laws to stop people providing for their children would fail due to incompatibility with human nature and in any case meritocracy merely privileges and fetishises a particular personality type which is itself a gift of fortune, like good looks or rich parents.
