2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Agreed that these tools are bad for the game and the justifications ppl use for them are obv just that, justifications
That said, if they’re out there, kinda forced to use them if you can
Last draft of the day, gotta go spend time outside haha
Nix, Geno, AR
Bucky, Jacobs, Monty, Spears, Giddens
Chase, Flowers, Sutton, Meyers, Downs, Bech, ADM
Engram, Goedert, Otton

Yup, that’s the downside. You either get with it or fall behind. I feel like I’m experienced enough, I don’t need a tool to tell me that stacking at ADP or w17 correlation at ADP is the right decision or that I should probably take a WR if I have 3 through 8 rounds. But it’s going to ruin it for the average drafter.
We need new players coming into the game. This is a very valid point too, regardless of experience level.
I don’t want to see fantasy, best ball specifically, die the same death as online poker. I spent so much time playing online poker from the time I turned 18 in 2007 to the last few years. Now I haven’t played a hand since Dec, and I don’t plan to come back.
Liam is partly against the tools and Liam is partly narcissistic enough to think he doesn't need the tools lol. I don't expect him to conform. I'd be interested to hear his thoughts on the new ETR tool.
Lmao.
Tell me about how the tool can help you build this hero WR contest winner!
Lamar, Bo
Jacobs, Harvey, Tyjae, Tank, Justice, Ford
Nabers, Deebo, Shakir, Kupp, Bateman, Doubs, Nuk, Franklin
Bowers, Engram
I'm really looking forward to restarting my slow drafts. I miss them, but I've been holding off until the schedule release plus still taking a break from pre-draft slow season. I don't want to burn out like I did last year.
Just saw Olave go 75.
How would you rank these 4 teams?
Spoiler
A.Caleb, MayeHenderson, Swift, Mason, Javonte, Braelon, GiddensNabers, ARSB, JSN, DJM, Jamo, Palmer, WicksGoedert, Henry, Chig
Spoiler
B.Caleb, PenixBijan, Bucky, Mondre, Ford, Hill, JamesJSN, DJM, Zay, Diggs, Jeudy, Mooney, Palmer, PierceLoveland, Pitts
Any thoughts? I just followed ADP and my own takes for one of them, and then used rankings from 3 different sources for the others.

Honestly, I don't see much wrong with any of them. Even ending up with Kittle/Strange in D isn't the end of the world. B is probably too light at TE.
But they're all well balanced and make sense. Tough to rank since I like them all, and I think any one of them could make a run.
Yeah, I'm buying at that price. Olave also has trade outs.
CMC team
Purdy, JJM, Bryce
CMC, Kyren, Jones, Braelon, Dobbins
BTJ, Tet, Addison, Jennings, Coleman, Hollywood, Dyami
Hock, Henry, Muth
I probably should have gone 2 TEs and another WR, but both Henry and Muth fell 12 picks so I double clicked at the 15/16 turn.

Cool, thanks. FWIW
Team A used SW
Team B used ETR
Team C used the free RotoGrinders's rankings
Team D just followed ADP
Right on, I'm still trying to get a grasp on how to interpret risers and fallers. It would seem like Olave is a good faller to take since if he does end up being good, then you have an advantage over the Olave teams that drafted him in the 50's and 60's.
Yeah, in the past I've blindly followed fallers down, especially those with injuries. I'm trying to be a little more cognizant this year, but Olave in the 7th or 8th seems reasonable. And like you said, on contests that have been open since right after the draft and have filled quite a bit, it adds some additional leverage. Not much effect in BBM that has filled 5% but in the Schnauzer at 41% can provide some nice leverage.
I like this one, but it's weak at TE. Still not sure if Conklin is the right play, but he's been my LAC TE of choice.
Both Baker and Caleb went ahead of ADP. Baker unstacked and Caleb with Swift.
Still got some nice QB stacks. I didn't plan to draft Rome or Godwin, but Rome was 5 past and Godwin was 10 past.
Herbert, Dak
Chuba, Skattebo, Davis, Braelon, Roschon, Corum
CD, Ladd, Evans, DJM, Rome, Godwin, Tre
Ferguson, JT, Conklin
Good news. UD decided to exercise common sense and change Jac back to Jax.
lol that's great
My first Walker share and a few others I haven't drafted much of yet.
Jayden, Stafford, AR
Walker, BRob, Najee, Warren, Wright, Shipley
Puka, Nico, Terry, Flowers, Shakir, Koleman, Hopkins, AD
Kincaid, Higbee, Sinnott
I got burned by Sinott so badly last yr that I’m too scared to click him haha
lol same. I just figured it made some sense in this build, and literally every other TE I liked in that range got taken right before me.
Mahomes, Purdy
Brown, Swift, Tracy, Allgeier, Giddens, Hunt
Puka, AJB, Worthy, Flowers, Jennings, Kirk, Slayton
Njoku, Strange, Taylor
Getting some 0 RBs builds in
Baker, Geno, Dart
Henderson, Mason, Charbs, Blue, Spears, Sampson
Nabers, Evans, Tet, Addison, Shakir, Legette, Tucker
Bowers, Otton
I was looking through my teams and apparently I have a 4rb build, which I almost never do
Love, Tua, Dimes
Jacobs, Hampton, Cook, Brob
Chase, Hill, Jeudy, Pickens, Pittman, Keenan, Wandale, ADM
Kraft, Goedert, Otton
I do not remember drafting this haha
Looks fine haha. I’d probably rather AD be a RB but it can work if Omarion is that dude.
