Does this mean the bill is being updated or in the last stage from then being sent to Congress to be finalized as approved to become Law? If yes, does this final process after dates on link above take within 10 days?

So, according to the link it should take till June 12th or before than be sent to Congress to become Law?

Thanks.

Nah the committee is like a 2 minute meeting that almost seems like a formality. There's 18 more legislative sessions between now and jun 12th that they have to vote on and pass bills. It has to pass both Senate and Assembly and if that happens it can be sent to the governor to be signed or vetoed. There's hundreds of bills and they meet for 30 minutes-hour each session its all recorded and livestreamed on youtube. I knew none of this before I heard about this bill and I don't understand really why some bills fly through the entire process and some bills just die year after year in the same spot.

Wow Thanks my brother.

So, by June 12th it has to pass both Senate and Assembly to reach the governor who has 10 days to approve/veto?

Or are you thinking it should take longer to pass Senate/Assembly and I didn't comprehend the articles link in my post and that Senate/Assembly process is after whatever is happening in the link posted?

LoL, my bust... what would be your guess if this post doesn't make sense.

Appreciate.

Does the link I posted about June 12th... Does anybody know in what stage the link is specifically?

You are attempting to apply the US federal process to a NY state bill. That ain’t gonna work.

The vast majority of bills that make it out of committee are approved in the general assembly. Then it has to pass state senate, where the head of the committee it will go to (Addabbo) is very outspokenly in favor of it, so it will likely make it out of that committee, and will probably pass on the state senate floor.

I’d say it’s well over 90% to become law this year. Sucks that they’re gonna ban sweepstakes explicitly before legalizing online, but it is what it is. At least we still have a solid chance at the casino licenses being awarded this year

Chumba Casino(the main site of the Global Poker parent company) just announced they are pulling out of NY on June 2nd. Waiting to get the email but that almost guarantees Lucklyand(sister site) is gone too but it doesn't completely rule out Global Poker surviving however the odds seem grim

Global officially pulling out of NYS
