President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

We are at the "I campaigned for Trump relentlessly for 9 months but now I'm going to blame "the left" for what is currently happening" phase of right wing cope.

So many poker players that I used to respect are taking this tactic. "Its your fault I was wamboozled by Trump because DEI". Yeah you are ******ed and should be embarrassed

Ryan Daut, Liv Boree, Josh Ariah, Daniel Negraneu, countless other ******s. You are all pathetic and should be ashamed of yourselves

I've known Negreanu is a piece of **** ever since I was at the 2010 (?) PCA, in which I was on the table next to him and got to listen to him berate some poor waitress for not bringing him the vegan smoothie he ordered; I still remember him adopting this bratty tone and saying something like, "I DON'T WANT ANY DEAD ANIMALS IN MY DRINK!"

I hate that MF so much. Such a prolific vlogging whore that he's actually fooled people into thinking he's a great poker player. Put him on ACR and he's a ****ing whale. Go scream at your wife some more. Go put on blackface again.

How could you put a tariff on a movie?

china does this

there's only about 8 or so international films allowed per year in their theaters and the tickets cost more than a local film due to the additional taxes on them

this is why whenever there's a big blockbuster that is heavy on action and not dialogue (the kind that does well in non native english speaking countries) they really try hard to kiss ass to china in hopes it'll be one of the few accepted in the application process because it'll mean millions in additional revenue

like here in transformers they had characters drinking chinese milk boxes in america

in other movies they often include a throwaway line about how "thank god china does this or we'd all be screwed"

This is the guy you "used to respect", coordi?

He's one of the biggest *******s in all of gambling, and that's been known since long before Trump went down that escalator

Edit: I'm sorry, I went too far, you may well have forgotten about the blackface thing. Anyway, screw that guy.

LOL is that Negreanu? I don't keep up with celebrity stuff.

My respect came from their ability to play poker back when my whole identity was poker, but yeah, there has been plenty of evidence hes of questionable character over the years

by Gorgonian

LOL is that Negreanu? I don't keep up with celebrity stuff.

It was a hilarious character he did. On par with anything Michael Scott did.

It looks pretty *@#$@ hysterical, I'll say that.

Not in a great way, but still.

Right wingers really think they are cooking with this "you forced me to be a racist antisocial piece of **** by being anti racist and pro equal rights" stuff

Meh , I don’t care about Daniel but let’s not forget his a Canadian and what I could gather this been done like 2 decades ago .

Canada isn’t the US .
That black face stuff never was a thing in Canada .
Hell, I never even knew of that stuff before the Canadian PM incident .
I doubt Daniel his as racist as u think he is shrug.

I think you guys live in a made up narrative about MAGA.Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️@realchrisrufoIt makes good geopolitical sense to isolate China, onshore high-end production to the US, and shift low-end production to friendly nations, such as Mexico, which can become America's workshop. Then zero/zero tariffs for allies with similar wage and environmental standards.

No one stop corporations to build stuff in the US and China do not prevent corporations to build in the US.
ps: Americans love low prices and would dislike a lot to pay more just for an American to get a job.
They would consider this a subsidy for a lazy unproductive person aka they should just gets 2 jobs or work harder like the “American way”, we aren’t socialist ….

Hes deep in the right wing twitter sauce. Just a Canadian hick who made it big off poker and thinks that means he has enlightened views on everything.

He also seemingly considers himself American now

Yeah I guess in China it can be done, with a long regime of censorship of anything foreign. But I can't imagine different prices being charged at theaters for different movies based on where they were made. Also, some movies are even filmed in more than one country, or with the editing and special effects done in different countries. I put this at maybe 1% chance of happening here.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.

He's a naturalized American citizen.

If he's talking about other citizens, then ya, off his rocker. If he's talking about people in America who aren't citizens, then he may have a point.

Yes, I am aware that you like to push back on things you have zero insight or knowledge about because they upset your sensibilities

His wikipedia page calls him Canadian and doesn't mention anything about him being an American citizen. If you know differently, you might want to correct the entry.

Regardless, he almost certainly came to this country before being a citizen, and most likely not in a fully legal manner.

From the entry: "After building a bankroll, he left for Las Vegas at the age of 22 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional poker player. However, "The Strip" got the better of him and he was forced to move back home to Toronto to rebuild his bankroll."

He probably did not have a green card or work visa to work in the US when he arrived at age 22.

Edit -

Did some googling and found that DN became a US citizen in 2016, and said specifically that he was doing so to vote against Donald Trump.

none of this is because of your imagined lawless latte lib hell holes
