Are you travelling to WSOP 25?
I remember having a great first time last year and thought I could maybe plan a couple weeks every year if the schedule
That is easy…any city or town in south TX, LA, MS, AL at least 15 miles from coast surrounded by marsh and or swamps.Difference is SWEAT WORKS in Vegas. No your clothes won’t be sweaty because the sweat will evaporate. Yes a dry heat is very different. Here walking from parking lot into office at 7:30, noon, 4pm, 8pm, it don’t matter you will be sweaty and clothes moist at leas
Yup, it’s quite nice
Keep on hearing how 2+2 genuises are hoping it’s moved to fall. But thankfully the professionals are in charge. Poker hasn’t been cool for almost 15 years yet the brand and fields keep growing. Its probably easier for recs to get away in summer and no business should voluntarily compete with football

having a preference and thinking it's good for their business are 2 different things. A genius like you should understand that.
asked a question about registration, here's response I got
We will no longer be utilizing BRAVO for the WSOP event in Las Vegas this summer. During the week of May 5th, we will formally announce the launch of our new WSOP+ tournament management platform, along with detailed information regarding deposit methods and tournament registration processes.
The minimum to send a wire will remain at $100,000. However, there will be several new options including ACH, Luxon and PayPal.
I said "major city" we're talking about tourist/vacation cities, not podunk towns.
As far as "major tourist cities" Vegas is easily one of the hottest in the world.
It's okay, you dont think it's that bad, but for a Chicagoan, it's brutal.
Yes, at night, it's suprisingly okay, I'm always shocked how 90 in the shade at 10PM is almost comfortable
But in the sun at 2PM and it's 115?
I walk from Flamingo to Caesar's and when I get inside,
I push my pants against my thighs for a moment to notice how hot they are and I laugh.
An underrated part of the dry desert heat is the no mosquitoes.
They live for me and attack me like no one else
So that's something I love about the desert dry heat
I'd be one of the people in Vegas in January in a hoodie and cargo shorts laughing at the locals wearing coats.
So it goes both ways.

New Orleans, Houston, Mobile, Jackson, suburbs in NW Corpus, same for Brownsville, BOPA Golden triangle. Could also name some FL and Georgia (there is a reason Augusta National closes June through Sep).
Lived in both Rockford and Houston at different times. Was in Vegas during Rodeo last December. Heaviest coat I had was a hoodie. Only time I put on long pants were jeans for Rodeo (comped tickets) and dinner at Prime. Have seen 118F and -32F, prefer the cold because I can always put on more but when I start taking layers off, eventually I would be arrested.
Kids were at Paris, we were at NYNY, so plenty of late night walking
Mod note: The "No Politics in NVG" rule applies to this thread, too. It's fine to mention that you're not traveling to the WSOP this year because you don't want to go to the US right now but please leave it at that.
If there are immigration/CBP-related news that might be relevant to other international travelers, feel free to post them, just leave the politics out.
Gonna be heading out to there to grind the daily’s mostly and play the colossus and possibly the monster or milly maker.
I'm not traveling to the WSOP this year because I don't want to go to the US right now for obv reasons 🙂
I am Canadian and will be there. Most of my fellow countrymen are weak minded simpletons, so they are passing. I'm sure I will not miss these folding machines.
Some of you guys need to leave your grind caves and become outdoor humans again. 102 degrees in UV 13 is magical.
If it's a fact I am sure you can provide statistics or an official statement, instead of just hearsay. There is just no way the US is actively trying to scare away foreign tourists, whether they are going to Las Vegas or someone else. And people like you are fearmongering and deterring others from travelling by spreading such unfounded claims and treating them as 'facts'.Edit: I
That's just how things works. If a friend tells you a restaurant sucks you'll just not go there and possibly tell other people you've heard it sucks. You won't demand "proof" or do an investigation to determine "facts". I think we can all agree the US currently has a PR/perception problem when it comes to international travel. The burden is on the US/tourism related industries to fix it.
if it keeps even one tanking misreg euro out it's a W
This wsop will be fun times, sorry you Canadians will miss out. If you do make it, look for me and Fossilman....we will be out and about trolling for some "dates". Gonna be a hoot.

Forgot to add might take Mikey along with us. Last time he didn't have his scooter fully charged and it died right outside of Mandalay Bay. Had to carry him back to Paris on my back. Fossilman was no help as his sciatica was acting up. I dunno, we'll play it by ear.
