I don't know a single parent that doesn't regret giving their kids the COVID shot. I am just greatfull I live in a province where I didn't have to decide on my kids playing sports or the COVID vaccine.

My bad Montreal didn't see the initial reply since it was in the quote. And I would've voted PPC they were absolutely my first choice since they are the only party that would've taken drastic action on immigration. But it was clear that getting rid of the libs was the next best and only viable option as opposed to trying to grow support for the PPC and get them a seat under the assumption that it would've been a safe blue election.

Montreal, it's not a natural economic cycle making housing prices high. It's supply and demand. NIMBYs keep supply low, mass immigration keeps demand high. Which side can instantly be fixed? Trudeau admitted he needed to keep housing prices high to protect boomers in their retirement. Is that fair to all the young people that will never be able to afford a home? We can keep this scam going or we can pop the bubble and rebuild our country. There will be short-term pain, but it's better to have some short term pain than long term stagnation and decline.
Yes I get that we are not yet a third world country and have it better than most countries. But we are lagging behind almost every developed country in terms of GDP per capita growth. Our GDP per capita last year was barely higher than Mississippi and was lower than EVERY OTHER US STATE. Many of us are angry because it doesn't have to be this way. We didn't have to import millions of entry level workers that no one wanted or asked for. We didn't have to have all these disincentives for foreign companies to invest in Canada. I was listening to a podcast by a guy named Peter Zeihan who was very pessimistic about the future of Canada. He basically said because of Canada's demographic profile unproductive people (elderly, govt employees, economically unproductive immigrants) outvote economically productive people; and vote for their own interests. Which is lots of government and social welfare and keeping housing supply depressed to keep prices high.
He also says Canada has this weird thing where everyone else has to bribe Quebec not to leave the country. And it has traditionally been Ontario paying the lions share of this bribe, but because of demographic shifts it is going to be Alberta moving forward. Which will create tension, as Alberta is the most conservative province.
