NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
Donte 100% was trying to injure Luka.
His nickname is The Big Ragu. He’s NBA Mafioso.
Yeah Luka's back is effffff'd. Man's moving like a Disney witch out there. Minny not attacking him every time down is awful coaching by Finch
refs aren't gonna let the lolkers lose this one, wager accordingly
Reaves 1/9 from 3.
Give McMuffin a 10 day. I can shoot better than that.
I'm waiting for the Lakers inevitable late game in bounds turnover. Every game in the final 30 seconds they find a way to do it, expect no different if this game is close.
Lakers are cooked.
Don’t see them winning this.
I can't help but feel Hayes could've done something useful.
Sigh
Isn't Hayes the only guy who could've put some height at least on Gobert?
Wasn't Hayes playing consistent minutes whenever the Lakers were doing well this season?
Did he hit on Reddicks wife or something?
GJGE Lakers
Meh, not really.
Holy ****, Minny made a 3
Down 6 with 40 seconds? What's the problem??
And it’s over.
Fall guy was right clearly 40 year old LeBron doesn’t have what it takes.
TWOLVES...awooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nico so hard right not you couldn't bend it with two hands
Julius Randle playoff performer.
Well I’ll be damned.
Of course. At the time no one was saying the trade made them a better team this year. A team with Luka, James, Reaves and no starting center was always going to be a joke on defense.
Their record during the regular season after the trade was pretty good though, so expectations got unreasonably elevated. But night to night effort in the NBA in the second half of the regular season is so variable, in hindsight it is pretty obvious Lakers padded their record against teams that weren't playing very hard.
Lakers have to trade Reaves (or move him to the bench), replace him in the starting lineup with a legit 3 and D wing, and get a center to play with Luka. That was pretty clear when the trade was made, and is still clear.

This is true, the consensus was Lakers got a heist but the team wasn't really built for this year. Then they looked impressive in the regular season and they have 1 of the best players in the league as well as 1 of the best ever and it was easy for people to talk themselves into it.
I do think they just ran into a buzzsaw and Wolves are 2nd best team in the west though.
That game was bizarre to watch though, it was basically a 6 point blowout win for the Wolves. They shot 7/47 from 3 and still were comfortably ahead the last 2 minutes.

Considering their 2nd best player is about to be 41, they just need to get good players in general. Might be easier said than done.
