$3/$5/10 - Effective stacks are ~$10000 (1000BB).

V1 in SB: ($20,000+). V1 is best described as a "drunk maniac." Tonigh

Result: Hero tank calls. V1 shows 3s4s for the OESFD. ???!!!The run out is two blanks and hero survives.Odds calculator gave me 50.5% equity, so we were literally flipping for $20k. Crazy. Thanks for the feedback everyone. 1) This is a unique situation for me. I am a regular at 3/5/(10 straddle), usually at 200-300BB deep. I rarely go 1000BB deep and I rarely play with maniacs

Seems like you have zero conception of what the word maniac means. He's a maniac but you put him on only shoving with sets and the nut flush draw?

He is doing what with KK-TT? You bet so big on the flop it's 1 spr on the turn if they just call so you'd need to at least partially include these hands in his range.

OK, so are you going to either ban the poster and/or lock this thread?

No.

I just don't understand why trying to construct a Mainiacs 5! range is that important. It's clearly gonna be considerably wider than nearly every player and wether 3s4s is high or low end is really unlikely to change a bunch of decisions. In this specific case, when you have AA its close to meaningless. And if you think its meaningful in the sense he only shoves 2p+ then he isn't a freaking mainiac.

No reason to think this is a troll post. You see this stuff a lot less at 1/2 because not that many people with FU money play 1/2. While it's not as insane, I just played in a deep 5/5 game with a guy who was doing things like shoving over $1k blind. Just a drunk rich dude. It was nothing to him.

Yeah, I think there is a chance he folds for 3k. But you could go as little as 2k. I would probably go like 2.5 as I said. He might even shove on you sometimes (probably not 34 but maybe AK or TT+). Also, obviously he smacked this flop. Is he going to run a bluff if the flop is JT6 or something? He probably just gives up, I would guess. So there is something to be said for getting another $1k+ from him preflop.
