President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
I've heard her called drunk many times. When called on for evidence, they refer to video that was literally slowed down and otherwise altered to make her look drunk. As usual, they buy it hook line and sinker.
The impact of Trump's trade war, will negatively impact the US economy for decades. There's no going back at this point. Decades of GDP growth will be hampered by this wreckless and ignorant policy. America is not seen as a stable trading partner anymore. Global trade alliances have been re-drawn:
European Union: Finalized a sweeping trade pact with Mercosur (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay) after decades of delay, in large part to hedge against U.S. instability.
China: Strengthened trade agreements with ASEAN countries, the African Union, and signed new energy and agricultural contracts with Russia, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia.
Mexico: Expanded trade deals with China, Japan, and EU, reducing agricultural and manufacturing dependence on U.S. buyers.
Canada: Accelerated trade diversification with Europe (CETA) and Asia-Pacific (CPTPP) to lower American market exposure.
Japan: Deepened participation in CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership) — a deal the U.S. itself abandoned — and is signing direct tech and auto deals with EU.
South Korea: Tightened its partnership with ASEAN and India, and expanded semiconductor alliances with Europe.
India: Signed bilateral trade and tech cooperation deals with Russia, UAE, and the EU, positioning itself as an alternative manufacturing hub to both China and the U.S.
Brazil: Boosted agricultural exports directly to China and Europe, bypassing U.S. routes.
Australia: Strengthened its ties to Japan, India, and ASEAN, reducing reliance on U.S. agricultural and resource exports.
In response, Trump is telling his cult on Lies Social today:

When he just said only 3 months prior:

And Peter Navarro is doing the media brainwashing rounds today saying:
"Shrinking GDP number are actually good news because if you strip out the effect of tariffs, you have 3 percent growth. So we really like where we're at now."
The really big question is - Will enough people wake up from this cult? The paradox of being in a cult is, you don't know you're in one.... until you're out.

They still don't seem to get that Harris could be sloshed and still be a better decision maker than Trump. It's similar to the fact that Biden halfway to senility is still more coherent than Trump ever was.
Yes, that too, obviously. I've just never seen a single piece of evidence that she's "a drunk."

Harris and Biden would appear to be making more rational decisions, not necessarily better. Their decisions would be more helpful to their agenda, the agenda or the class they represent, not really the peoples' agenda. And we wouldn't know who is really making their decisions as they are just spokespeople not actual leaders. Blinken seemed to be running foreign policy under Biden, but was he really? There is no way to know.
Fascists are terrible, self destructive chaos machines. But with them you at least know who is making the decisions for the most part. You know who to hang from the street light when the time comes. Even I would feel bad about hanging Biden from a street light.

Mongi and Co. might be complete morons but they don't all actually believe she's a drunk. Because they have no scruples whatsoever in terms of honesty it's useful ammunition to fire at the people they hate more than anything, libs. It's just a game of trolling for them, and all the time you and others react like this they win and it encourages them even more.

Is this parody, or a serious attempt at reasoning?
Every world leader has teams behind them w/ agendas. Corporate democrats don't have populist ageneda's, but they also understand you can't just decimate the working class in America and expect continued growth and productivity. So you get some legislation that reflects that and helps the working class, w/ some legislation to try and lift up the working poor.
In contrast, name a Republican piece of legislation in the last 40 years that was specifically targeted to help the working class.
This is the larger paradox of Trump voters. They voted their own demise for the last 40+years, and are upset at the "system" they helped build. So instead of getting better informed, the logical response is, tear it all down. This cult like thinking didn't happen overnight or just because of Trump. It's been groomed for decades.

Expert at arresting people and locking them up, and I'm sure she'd have made an impressive genocider.

This is fair, but probably more accurately they don't care if she's a drunk. I don't think they win when I make sure people know they are lying, but I understand your point.

It’s true that a drunk or senile drunk person could easily make better decisions than Trump. I bet someone who is both drunk and senile could do it. The question is why don’t dems just run someone who is neither?
Just find anyone who is not drunk, not senile, and wont let your daughter get beat up by a boy when they play sports or encourage your son to cut their dick off and they’ll win in a landslide. You don’t need to be James Carville to figure this **** out. But dems can’t figure it out, so we’ll be stuck with Trump, Vance or Donald Jr until they do.
Who else maga would vote for against trump really….
The guy didn’t even had to fight or debate to have the second nomination and you believe any other democrat would had any chance ?
Even republicans didn’t had any chance to beat him at all …
That narrative of Harris is a cop-out .

Yes as if a convicted candidate and all the other bs he did like trying to turn an election was not enough by itself to not vote for him lol…
Wake up …
They don’t care about what you believe was necessary to beat him .
So have the maga dfs been by to try to defend Trump thinking Garcia's fingers had the literal letters and numbers "MS13" tattooed on them because he fell for a photoshop that was a visual aid and not even trying to look realistic or Trump lying about how this stock market disaster is Biden's fault yet today or are they just hiding? Or deflecting? I doubt the talking heads are going to know what to give them to repeat in all the forums and tiktoks after that embarrassing 24 hours, so I was just curious how they were handling it.
The people you seek are not analytical or generally intelligent enough to have need of a poker strategy forum. You'll be waiting a while.
They're out there, but I'd recommend Facebook or local newspaper online comment sections.

No, they're very much here. I'm just asking if they've been by today to try rationalize it.
lol at people on a poker forum not being dumb enough to fall for MAGA BS. The founder of the site makes threads about how the Trump economy will be good for poker.

This is pretty much based on feeling or intuition so take it with a grain of salt, but I feel like Obama was the last national Democrat with a "sheer the people but don't skin them" mentality. Perhaps the elite class is sufficiently "woke" to capitalism's end game that they've given up on the productivity of the American worker as a basis for their prosperity and safety. Wealth inequality was accelerating under all parties because they all support the same policies which ensure it. Obama wanted to ratchet up inequality while maintaining the stability of the system. But if the elites don't think they system is stable they will just accelerate its cannibalization while diversifying away from U.S. correlated assets.

I never claimed the Repubs had a populist agenda, although you can increasingly say "at least it's an ethos" about Republicanism because (and if you only retort to one point please make it this one) there is no Democrat version of Project 2025. When the Democrats pretended Joe Manchin was president and that the Parliamentarian had ultimate veto power over all legislation was when democracy jumped the shark.

I don't think Trump voters want to tear it all down. I've heard deep sounding mass psychological analysis detailing a "death drive" or suicidal nature of Trump voters but I don't see it. I think they are just that stupid and actually believe Trump will restore America's greatness because they have no understanding of the real basis for post WWII American prosperity.

Literal NPC paragraph right here.
Notice how the Republicans haven’t rolled back the minority’s filibuster power? Huh I wonder why that might be. Almost like everyone recognizes it would be horrible if legislation was that easy to pass.
