Yea this. Dwan probably has access to a lot of cash and pretty high class amenities even if his personal real bank account is at 0 through his contacts and the people who would like to stake him.
The dude has been living in a fantasy reality since he dropped out of college.

To paraphrase: it's really dangerous if you have a thought in your head or a theory. You're acting on the thought or idea. And refuse to change it inspite of contradictory evidence or hold on to it for far longer than is healthy.

Look at the bit of advice as it relates to me:
I've been lurking, learning poker for almost 15 years
For whatever reason I haven't barely played a hand of poker, I definitely am not a winner from the game if you look @ how much time I've committed to listening to poker content or spent $ on poker training.
However...
I feel ready that my poker career is about take off/my poker playing skill is about to shoot up exponentially.
But what's changed?
I'm the same guy I was 10 years ago. I have the same iq level.
Somewhere in my thought process I must have had a thought or theory that was preventing me playing/winning/thinking correctly at the tables.
Now I no longer think like that.
I agree that it’s a mental breakdown , what I find strange is that he responded to someone on twitter saying he’s not on drugs and hasn’t taken any in years. Maybe I shouldn’t believe him , but I do so I’m wondering what could make someone have that kind of mental breakdown if it isn’t drugs.

He's had a mental breakdown. I know people who have had a similar psychosis and posted similar things.
This is sad to see I have always been a huge fan of Tom Dawn since the very beginning. I hope he is ok. I live in the UK and know someone very well who has been sectioned and kept in a similar facility on and off for years. They would also post very strange things on the internet similar to what TD is doing.
The telephone number for Park Royal Centre for Mental Health is 020 3838 7700. Is it worth someone who knows him in the UK ringing it or someone in London going to see if they can help him??
His manic posting is very similar to Matt Marafioti's in the months leading up to his death a few years back. He seemingly never got the help he needed, hopefully Tom being in a mental health institution will be the difference so this doesn't end in a similar tragic way.

Wtf, the guy is dead, just leave at that. It's not like the fact that people with mental issues sometimes kill themselves is a new thing, stop bringing his name up and let his family mourn in peace without stupid 2+2'ers keep reminding them of what happened.
We're all human and only get the opportunity to be alive for maybe 85 years, if we're lucky.
Imagine spending more than half of your life trying to trick others out of their money by playing a game, however, you end up owing money, not making any.
At some point, you realize you've wasted years of your life, never experiencing the joys of accomplishment and nothing to show for your time.
It's very easy to see why some end up in counseling or worse. Try to figure out how to start enjoying your life rather than being dissappointed that you have no apptitude for the games you play; displayed by your lack of success?
Play poker for the enjoyment of the game and seek other avenues for accomplishments that will carry you through your short time on this spinning marble.

TD posted on Twitter exactly where he is and anyone can Google the telephone in 2 seconds. At no point did I suggest a random person from 2p2 calls them, I said someone who knows him. I just saw he posted on Twitter 2 hours ago about a PokerNews reporter being there or something.
He said 8 months.

So based off his last rounds of tweets featuring him claiming he was in "direct operational control" of 1/3rd of some sort of SOCOM operation Tom is either:
A.) Some sort of CIA or other alphabet agency secret agent.
B) Having some sort of paranoid schizophrenic breakdown.
C.) Pretending to do the above to get out of paying debt.
