I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet
I see no reason to get into that' on election night and that is not what im saying at all but trying to talk people from other provinces that the block in power helps them is certainly a take.
politics is a rubberband if the block didn't exist the cons would get less % of the seats TONIGHT. but that would just mean the other party would lose power faster when they under deliver again and qeubec would turn more right

Quebec if far more a tune to a lot of Canadians then the western narrative (reform party) implies ..

Yes the non-plurality parties can make a coalition - that was the infamous prorogation in the Harper era. They won’t, but they could.
Alright 166+7>172 so I'm going to bed. Admittedly 4/5 of the closests ridings are liberal leads so that could evaporate.

Man that phrase triggered you huh. Let's remember the context. Trudeau threatened a 155B package of countertarrifs that "threaded the needle" of focusing on a lot of industries that would be painful to the americans while avoiding some of those that were particularly harmful to Canadians. That's what "threaded the needle" meant in context, that it was a well designed countertariff package. Trump backed down the next day - at least temporarily. You never even tried to rebut that particular point about a well designed package. But you DID latch on to "threaded the needle" as some sort of code phrase to imply I was infinitely deferential to Trudeau.
And then you kept saying it.
And saying it.
And saying it.
Now Trudeau is gone and your team has lost the election and you are STILL saying it.
It's weird.
Blanchet seems to think the Bloc is going to have considerable influence because he has way more seats than the NDP.
He's talking out of both sides of his mouth. That everyone needs to work together right now, but that he'll oppose anything that is not good for Quebec.
Carney should govern as if he has a majority imo and where needed I'd rather the Libs and NDP team up (only if needed).
Blanchet has no interest in "Canadian" interests, so I really hope the lib+NDP numbers hold up for 172+
I am beating a dead horse but a party that only exists for provincial protectionism should be powerless on the federal front imo.
Ya I'd be jazzed if working with the NDP basically is the spark needed to continue building out the dental/pharmacare programs and solidifying them, but not too many gimmicks in addition.
I have some suspicions this is more like a 2 year minority. The NDP is going to be hungry to improve on this disastrous result. But they desperately need to rebuild first, find a new leader, find a new message, get over the trump threats, etc.
