I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet
Lozen we just say how poilievre lied about his key #1 campaign promise and kept the deception going until after 7 million people had already voted.
How can you possibly worry about “trusting” liberals when your guy decieved Canadians so badly?
When this all started it was hard to imagine the Conservatives blowing it again, but here we are.
If PP can't beat the libs it may come down to
-Still fighting an absent Trudeau (which was a failed strategy the last two times when they were actually running against Trudeau)
- Not having confidence and support from Doug Ford, with Ontario holding a massive number of federal seats
-Not having the confidence of Tim Houston. Sure, NS is small, but Houston adds to the narrative of "why is PP having problems with provincial conservatives.
- His approach with the media travelling with the campaign and not allowing questions.
- Campaigning to target the voters he already has. So much of his messaging seemed to be better suited to a Conservative convention. Hello PP... you already have those votes. He needed to go after the undecided in the middle and those who are soft or situational Liberals or Bloc or whatever. Spending time reassuring your base gets you no new voters.
In fairness, PP was also a victim of circumstances. Carney get's a big push after the Trump call. Trump says he can work with this guy.
Trump talks dismissively about PP, and notes he's not a MAGA guy.
Carney get's to break away from Campaigning to deal with Prime Minister US/CAN stuff (and man, did he ever play that well). So Carney looks Prime Ministerial While PP can't even talk about how Trump will respect him if he is PM, because Trump already minimized him pretty good.
And PP can't start going all MAGA to appease Trump or he loses, so PP is in a box he can't seem to squirm out of.

- In 180 days end all USA coal exports through CDN Ports
- carbon tax which only rebates the full amount used in the jobs of consumers and not use it as a tax for wealth redistribution
- Develop and export as much clean Natural gas a s possible
- Continue to expand our resources so wse we do not rely on countries that do not have the standards we have
- End the 100% tariff on Chinese EV's
- Mandate carboard water bottles for anyone voting Liberal 😀

- In 180 days end all USA coal exports through CDN Ports
- carbon tax which only rebates the full amount used in the jobs of consumers and not use it as a tax for wealth redistribution
- Develop and export as much clean Natural gas a s possible
- Continue to expand our resources so wse we do not rely on countries that do not have the standards we have
- End the 100% tariff on Chinese EV's
- Mandate carboard water bottles for anyone voting Liberal 😀

Your ACTIONS speak larger than your hypocritical words. You don't get to pretend now to be pro carbon taxes with some implementation tweaks.

ya, like ford might have a small effect on the margin, making some centrists easier to justify voting ford for province and carney for feds, but this is all about Trump.
So being against the carbon tax is now far-right. Crazy times.

LOLOL shifty shifts "do absolutely nothing at all" to "being against the carbon tax". If someone has a technocratic challenge to the carbon tax and thinks Canada should instead do some other policies to fight climate change like cap and trade say, well they are probably wrong, but like fair play. It's those - like you - like lozen - whose core genuine belief is that Canada should do approximately nothing of any form to combat climate change (other than DRILL BABY DRILL of course) that are far right.
