Even being correct about pocket 6s, and opponent was not flaying around with some other pocket pair or Ax, he had 1 ace 3 kings and 3 dueces for outs which, if hit, would put his aces full into the running for an hourly highest full house $50 promo bonus. Instead, he pats himself on the back for his lay down and great read.

Whut WHUT? That won't even pay for a gallon of gas.

What about insurance (health & car)? ELD might be able to get around WITHOUT health insurance....but I'm not aware of any jurisdiction where it is legal to drive a car without at least liability insurance.

What about phone/interweb access? Even the very cheapest that I'm aware of costs $1/day, maybe more. What about purchasing of a new/used phone every few years? That has got to be at least $.50/day.

Then you've got clothing/laundry. ELD probably gets second hand/thrift store stuff, but that is still something. I would SHOCKED if this is LESS than $100/year.

Not every meal is covered by the casino, ELD's cooking videos are wildly popular, and he frequently does not have to pay for stuff, BUT he still pays for SOME ingredients.

Then you've got all sorts of other misc. costs.

So there is simply NO WAY anybody can get by for any period of time on $3/day.

With ELD's recent results, I suspect that he is literally folding every hand other than A,A/K,K and un-raised big blinds. Alternatively, he may play SUPER tight for a couple/few hours, and then goes on total lock down for another few hours simply to get comps.

Either way, the whole thing is simply pathetic. This is doubly the case IF ELD's education is true.

I don't know, and I don't it has every been revealed what Trooper's bank roll is, but a $600 loss has got to be simply catastrophic.

I would not be surprised if it is a couple/few thousand literally.

He is starting to get some more income from the YouTube & rake back...but how much could that possibly be? Maybe $1,000 a month? IF that?

So Trooper is in a terrible position of having MULTIPLE winning sessions wiped out by 1 loss.

Of course, it is still early in his "comeback" and this $600 loss could be a 1 in 100 aberration.

it's not a play I would make but he had a great read of his opponent. if you know you are beat then it doesn't matter what the pot odds are or how good your hand is. villian flipped over 6s full and scooped a smaller pot than he should have had. it's an impressive fold.

No it's not. It's a massive overfold that occasionally will be right. He's a typical OMC which is fine. He's playing as a hobby and not pretending he's a pro.

I love it when the GTO bros get outraged when someone folds trip aces or pocket queens correctly when they are dominated. Muck had a blow up last year when an opponent folded queens face up vs Muck's aces "that's a terrible fold, what a terrible player! why didn't he bust?"

But OMC is just always overfolding. When you fold way too much sometimes you're right. It's just the other end of the pay off wizards who hero calls all the time with garbage. Sometimes he's gonna win and think he's a genius.

I've said many times in other threads gto is pretty suboptimal for any live cash game actually worth playing. Yes it will win, but it won't win nearly as much as the biggest winners in those player pools are winning.

If you're playing these stakes and the game is so bad you need to play gto it's a waste of time in 30 hand and hour 8 handed poker.

The housing and food is only free while he's playing poker. Most people want to set up their future by owning a house by the time they retire and enough money to live comfortably. His whole strategy is living cheaply off comps, but that won't work forever.

If you never call with the worst hand it means you are over folding. And if you never fold the best hand it means you are over calling. OMC is terrified of ever calling with the worst hand.

Obviously not every day.
