President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
So now America has moved to the next phase of fascism, where it's arresting judges.https://www.axios.com/2025/04/25/fbi-arr...FYI. She's accused of misdirecting, and misleading ICE agents. What actually happened, at least according to the chief judge was that the ICE agents were told to wait until the court hearing had concluded. This is
My question is how did they get an arrest warrant and how was the case not immediately dismissed? It appears she was released on her own recognizance.
If it has to do with her official duties I assume that would be covered by absolute immunity.
Make fraud great again!

President Donald Trump has pardoned a Nevada Republican politician who was awaiting sentencing on federal charges that she used money meant for a statue honoring a slain police officer for personal costs, including plastic surgery.
Make fraud great again!
Law and order for thee, not for me.
the worst part is hypocrisy
yet another good development, they are going after wiki non profit status because wiki allows foreign agents to spread propaganda

Good news: Wikipedia is finally facing serious scrutiny
Ed Martin, the interim U.S. attorney in Washington, has sent a major letter to the Wikimedia Foundation, warning that it "is engaging in a series of activities that could violate its obligations" under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.
The letter accuses Wikipedia of "allowing foreign actors to manipulate information and spread propaganda to the American public," including the "rewriting of key, historical events".
Martin also criticizes Wikipedia for undermining its educational mission by masking propaganda as neutral information and demands accountability for how Wikimedia handles foreign influence, editor misconduct, bias, and the distribution of its data to AI companies.
The Foundation must respond by May 15, 2025. Wikibias is on the watch!
And yet just asking Facebook or X to stop spreading lies is somehow "violence" against people.
You are a clown.
yes because FB and X don't have privileges by law predicated on doing the public interest?
Are you real?
You want to do propaganda you are super free to do it in the USA luckly enough (thx to the 1a), but not with fiscal privileges
What has to stop is taxpayer funded propaganda, not propaganda itself.
Section 501(c)(3) EXPLICITLY PROHIBITS PROPAGANDA by entities who register as charitable non profits under that.

Are you sure about that? Here's a hint - commas are your friend. After you've figured that one out, here's another hint - how much does Wikipedia spend on lobbying each year that is over the allowed limit.

That’s from an administration that says the gulf of America and not Mexico shrug .
Hopefully Google will be blame and pursue by explicitly emitting false propaganda to Americans….

Modern day "conservatives" dislike Wikipedia because it is an easily accessible and decent encyclopedia with an open and transparent model of operation. This hurts them politically, because facts hurt them politically.
If it was about Wikipedia being easy to corrupt, they would simply corrupt it like they do with social media. Unfortunately, since Wikipedia is transparent, such corruption is transparent and can be seen. This also hurts them politically, because their ideology is based on being full of ****.
But it is good that you are on top of that, being informed by the user "Wikibias" on a closed social media platform with a corrupt algorithm, owned by the world's richest man and chief political sponsor of the current US president.
A quick research on your new hero Ed Martin revealed the patently obvious: Election denier, Trump toady, Nazi sympathizer. Basically, he is a book burner for the digital age.

The largest free encyclopedia which has been evaluated as extremely accurate for years now and which has free translations in many different languages, and we are celebrating removing its tax exempt status?

Not disagreeing with the main point of your post per se and at the risk of sounding melodramatic, the Trump admin seem to be have a whiff of McCarthyism about them in this and other instances.
That said, I wouldn't regard wiki as ultimately a credible source and any topic it covers would require additional fact checking. Not political, but in certain true crime cases for example, wiki either have a clear bias at best, or else engage in flat out falsehoods at worst. Furthermore, more accurate information on such cases doesn't seem to have a long shelf life and tends to get deleted or re-edited.
So while I'm not saying there's merit to Martin's specific allegations, again I think wiki is a bit of a joke in terms of accuracy in certain respects. Goes without saying though that it's a far better source than the likes of X, meta etc.

arent the Dems fully on board with the same thing with regards to "Russian propaganda" and anything critical of Israel? it sounds like you guys are just mad that Trump is in control of censorship and not the people who brought us the pee tape hoax, mass rape hoax, and beheaded babies hoax.
