dude seriously i wildve just tipped him thaat last 1k just to keep the entire world from goin off the rails in that situation.

I played a 2/4 (400) game at Crown about a decade ago where a guy moved from $200 to $4000 in less than two orbits. Two stacks from me. From memory three sets and two straights (including memorably one with 73o vs my set of 4s) and then a few other hands.

Welcome to Canada. Where you can bet 40% more thanks to the exchange rate, there's no 6:5 bullshit anywhere and all winnings are tax free.

Hmm, I didn't realize our BJ games paid out 3:2? I'm going to try to remember to confirm that next time I pokrz, but I would have guessed we're 6:5.

Someone asked me if i knew how to play baccarat recently and so in response I asked them if they knew how to put a wagering disc down on a felt table. They said "yeah, ldo" (i am rephrasing their reply but same overall idea) and i said "then you know everything you need to play baccarat"

I think the epithet that baccarat is euro blackjack made people think there's some kind of applicable game you contribute/perform?

That said I want to sit the baccarat tables just so i can fuck up the cards and bend them and tear them up. But wanted to ask about ettiquette - how do i get to be the person who gets to play the slow roll reveal type shit and tear up or fold the cards? that part i have no fucking clue how someone is selected for that as i've not played baccarat anywhere near enough (or the high enough table limit?) where the casino is fine with you pitching tiny tantrums every hand. i wanna throw some tiny tantrums in the pit with my tax refund (sike, i aint gettin shit back)

i've played baccarat all of maybe 3-5 times. and of those 5 times i once pressed my bet 6 times in a row and so i'm up lifetime against the house and i worry any further pursual will only reverse that fortune. and i kinda wanna have that lil ego inflation in my pocket - bb_love has beaten the house lifetime at baccarat.

anybody watch Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal?

I've never been tossed around in the turbulent and constant inward indefinite gaze of meta analysis of "reality" and "self" and "entertainmen" in a lifetime that this show does minute to minute. its ****ing insane (in the very best ways) and almost makes me feel a little crazy at times.

if borges were a comedian, this would be one of his short stories.

I watched Nathan for You and he is a comedic savant.

I’ve heard the Rehearsal is brilliant, but haven’t tackled it yet. There is so much good television nowadays that it’s hard to keep up.

One of the worst beats of my life last night. An older Asian guy with an $800k watch 3 bet me huge and then folded to my shove and showed me QQ

damn thats some bullshit. i was all in kn the big watch hypothesis being andolute certainty.

i has a nice one - AcJx - Jc3c2d flop donked into after i 3bet pre. game was nuts folks calling 40 pre with 94o etc so naturally i raise the donk 4.1x leaving behig easy shove on all turns. turn Q donk bettor puts me all in i snap - he shows Q3 ¯\_(ツ😉_/¯

i guess i can fold to the turn but i suck when my oppknents range is A2C's

One of my stepdaughter's owns a small business. Far and away the biggest hassle is dealing with employees. The latest fun one:

She is looking to hire a new employee, so she asks her current staff to let her know if any of their friends that would be a good fit. A grade 11 student by the name of Nancy (*name changed to protect the stoopid) gives this some thought and eventually lets her know that her friend Miranda would be a good fit. Nancy mentions this to Miranda, she drops off her resume, is interviewed, and is hired all within a week.

But on a shift with another co-worker, Nancy starts freaking out. The co-worker asks why, and she says she's not sure she can work with Miranda because she, unbeknownst to Miranda, is... sleeping with Miranda's ex-boyfriend.

Lol.

And then on top of that, thru a group chat with all of the other employees (minus Miranda), Nancy lets everyone know that she's sleeping with Miranda's ex-boyfriend and to please not let her know of that (even though none of them had any knowledge of the situation until she just told them).

Lol.

maybe this is why he can afford an 800k watch?

My book went up for presale today. Publication is over 7 months away. I haven't done page proofs or the index yet. There aren't even fawning blurbs written by my colleagues. This all seems a bit premature.
