2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Going to try a little experiment with my last 5 or so drafts I have left to do, since the streets are so wild. I'll be reaching up to a round in advance for any stacks.

Ground Rules:

1. I'll stick closer to ADP for the first 2 rounds.
2. I won't reach if the ranking is lower than the ADP. Exception would be for a QB.
3. I won't reach for a stack if I have a greater positional need.

It'll be fun to see if any of these teams come close to advancing or making the finals.

Here's the first team. This one wasn't too crazy as the biggest reaches were both reasonable (Caleb and Jamo, both at 8 spots)

Maybe elite QB is the answer on DK. It's so much nicer not stressing about whether I'm going to get my QB or not. Plus, even though they're easy to stack, it doesn't feel bad when you don't since they have so much rushing upside.

I think you have enough at RB since you anchored with Saquon. I like the QB/TE rooms.

I like the team, just need the RBs to come through.

UD ****ed up by not releasing LB2 last week. They should have put it out on Thur to give a full week. I'm going to try to fire as many as I can, since the overlay should be nice. It might not hit 50%.

Elite QB adds a nice comfort level, and those guys could definitely be the ones you need in the playoffs, but I've been erroring away from them so far this draft cycle. I think I'll do more once I'm back to drafting 18 rounds, but I'm underweight on all of the top QBs for the pre-draft contests. Especially with all of the middle round QBs who have the potential for spike week upside.

The 2 v 2 of early QB and 9/10/11 RB/WR/TE compared to RB/WR/TE early and a 9/10/11 QB just feels very slanted toward the middle round QBs.

I know you didn't like UD's formatting, but as I mentioned above, the LB2 should have some nice overlay. If you're looking for more drafts, it could be a nice one to fire some.

The LB2 is $3, right? If so, maybe I'll throw 5 entries in tonight.

I'm at 4% Josh, 3% Lamar, 6% Jayden, 5% Burrow, and 6% Hurts.

And yeah, the LB2 is $3 with a nice advancing structure. 4/12, 2/10, 1/8, but then the finals is 467 where you have to finish top 10 to hit 4 figures. But with the projected overlay, it's probably a value.

Strongly debating xing out some players in the rankings, setting it at 2 te + 2 qb and max auto drafting

I’ve debated that too haha. But I worry that I’ll end up with more dead teams than the overlay ev is worth.

I think I’m going to try to do 3 fast drafts at once.

I have a 4 monitor set up. Put the draft room in my upper left monitor, and then the 3 draft boards on the other 3.

I still have 2 more BBs remaining. I wish those were already behind me.

I see no better way to end the BB than drafting my first 5 QB team ever lol. The 1 spot put everyone into a blender and then I pushed QB too hard trying to scoop other value. I doubt it gets thrown out, though.

Honestly, I'm shocked you're 10 rounds in through only 4 days. I like everything except Deebo. Those all are good TE targets.

Anyone have a clue on what the DK contest will be ? I’m thinking they drop it back down to 10 dollars this year .

I'm guessing we won't know until they release the contest. $10 would be nice, but I'm expecting $20, and maybe even $25. I'm planning to fire the main contest over the smaller ones, anytime I'm waiting on contests on UD. But I'm planning for 95% of my volume to be on UD this season.

I think I’m gonna max the $3 contests instead of BBM this year. Just bought an absurd car and bought a condo last year and then maxed the big board, so not feeling like spending an extra $3K minimum on best ball haha

I think the max BBM I will do is 75.

I’m planning to do less Puppy contests, since I don’t want to drown in slows as much as last summer lol. I’ll probably fire 50 bullets per. Last year I maxed one or two and then fired 75-100 in the others.
