I mean contraction felt really good with the straps and able to lock in on lats. Maybe the problem was not using straps, pronated and neutral grips, and generally putting too much stress on elbows/forearms with all my other movements when I was doing this a year ago. Chins are back I guess...
It's kinda cool though frankly, like being over 200lbs and doing 15+ pullups with any grip and very strict form is extremely impressive from a strength perspective.

well naturally I went to the gym. My daytime fatigue is partly apnea partly psychosomatic from being so utterly dissatisfied, disengaged, and bored with my job. It got really bad late feb when the business teacher left and saddled me with her classes incl western girl with tiktok brain and some straight up arrogant and defiant 2 digit IQ entitled morons. First semester I was insulated from just how utterly dysfunctional and hyperfeminized this school is. I'm really glad that business teacher left because it got me to leave this titanic going full ****ing speed into an iceberg that has a flaming radioactive zerg infested meteor heading to it. I am not exaggerating when I say I think one of the Chinese leaders is an employee of a rival school sent to sabotage our school with idiotic decision making. I have never actively disliked any cohort I've taught at any school until this particular group of grade 9 business studies students and I feel physical pain just being in the same room as these csuckers.

I saw American Psycho for the first time last year. I was thoroughly unimpressed. The most overrated movie along with that Tarantino flick from the mid 90s with the royale with cheese. I forgot the title but it's really not a good movie despite every moron raving about it. American Psycho was much better than that one, but still not actually good. I am pretty confident the original work had a "profound" and relevant message for when it was written. From the film, it's trying to say something about materialism, a lack of human connection, the vaccuousness of chasing status and ostentatious displays of wealth, and the effects of urbanization on the human psyche and society.
But this isn't 1987 anymore... we've reached a level of dystopia that would probably make the source material look "quaint" by comparison. There don't appear to be many great works of fiction examining our modern techno-feudal dystopia, widespread addiction, and lifestyle induced mental illness. Ironically, The Matrix from 1999 was somewhat prescient in its prediction of technology lulling us into this false alternative reality which for many people is more "real" than real life (literally most teenage girls in modern developed first world economies). Humans are a unique animal and that it's basically a certainty we will technologically innovate our own extinction. In previous eras, this might have been via violent conflict and weapons of mass destruction Fallout style. But now? It's looking more likely we eventually amuse ourselves into non-existence... The intelligence and capacity to cooperate to create technology which made us the apex predators to such an extent as to dominate the literal evolutionary paths of "lesser" species is the same intelligence and creativity that will eventually undo us all, and in the most pathetic way possible at that. With a whimper, not a bang...
That's a compelling story, I suppose. But I lack the talent to produce anything entertaining on this.
