I'm hooked on harmonies! I just love harmonies and there were many great ones in my 60's/70's wheelhouse. This one is particualarly interesting since it is only harmony. There’s a case that God Only Knows is the greatest song vocals ever recorded. A strong one. Including opera, choirs, tribal chants, everything.
Overplay has brought me far past the point of wondering if Bohemian Rhapsody was actually even a good song; I now think it’s just a novelty joke song like My Dingaling & Ahab The Arab.
The Supremes of course. Seals & Croft. The Bangles were criminally mismanged. Skynyrd surprisingly good harmonies once they added Steve Gaines & The Honkettes. ZZ Top? Not an Eagles fan but Take It To The Limit is amazing. And of course…
