2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
UD just dropped The Little Board 2 if you're looking for more drafts haha.
$3, 50 max, 56k entrants, $15k to first. Obviously fast drafts only. Pretty impressive they have faith they'll fill 56k entries in 3.5 days. I have no doubts it'll fill.
I still have 6 Big Boards to complete. I may fire some LB2, depending on when I complete those.
I spoke to soon. They just opened another $5K Minicamp.
Nice haha. I think it's time for me to get back into the habit of doing 2 fast drafts at once. I might try to push to 3 at once as the summer progresses, especially for the low buy in contests, but that's probably my limit.
Let's say Jeanty somehow makes it to the Bears. Where do you think he goes in BB?
Honestly, I'd have no problems taking him ahead of everyone in the first round except for Chase, JJ, Lamb, and maybe Bijan.
14tm Dynasty slow draft update
The squad through 4rds
Mahomes
Stroud
Btjr
Nico
MHJ
Worthy
I don’t pick again until rd 10 and then I have 2 picks in 11, 12, and 13
I have traded away my first 2 picks in 26 and 27 and I have 3 3rds and 3 4ths which are basically useless
Plan is to likely fill in the roster with useful vets that can last a couple years and then take some shots in the rookie draft, but we’ll
I think he'll be the 1.07 and probably should have been the 1.07 this whole time. I think Saquon and Gibbs should and will still go ahead of him + the 4 newguy listed.
The only two landing spots that could spook the market would be SF or the Jets. SF would be ****ing gross. The Jets would indicate a Breece trade on the horizon, and I think would provide a good initial discount on both Jeanty and Breece.

That looks fun on paper. I think trading away the future rookie picks seems good in this format. You just need to avoid the top half of the rookie draft to feel good about it.
I think I'd probably not draft anymore WRs or QBs for a long time haha.

That’s a good point on the jets, I wonder how much discount we’ll get and agreed would likely wanna hammer both at discounted rates
Two more BBs down. 4 to go.
Kyle, Drake, Dart
Bucky, TreVeyon, Sampson, Dowdle, Allgeier, Gordon
JJ, MHJ, DeVonta, Pearsall, Egbuka, Higgins, Big Mike, DRob
Warren, Goedert, Taylor
Mahomes, Penix, Milroe
Omarion, Kaleb, Mason, Allgeier, Dowdle, Breshard
BTJ, London, Worthy, Waddle, Ridley, Hollywood, Horton, Restrepo
Kelce, Strange, Fannin
I probably should have taken Ward where I took Dowdle on tm2, but probably a minor mistake in the scheme of things.

I have an issue in dynasty where I cannot click RBs haha. I almost took Bucky over Worthy, but I just couldn’t do it
Is stacking valuable in dynasty? I know it doesn’t matter much in managed, but I thought there might be some value since I’m making a long term bet on stroud and Mahomes

I think Jeanty would probably stay about where he's going now, or maybe move down a few spots. And then boost up to the 1.07 range, once the Jets make the move.
I think the discount on Breece would be pretty damn nice with the market already feeling down on him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him fall all the way to the 5th eventually, depending on how long a potential trade takes.
With that said, we could see a Gibbs/Swift situation, where the trade is executed during draft weekend and there isn't even time for the uncertainty.

I like both of these

Haha, RBs are tough in dynasty. I'd probably take Worthy over Bucky too, since I still think Bucky is pretty fragile in dynasty. But I'm just not sure how much you should be adjusting with the points per first down.
Stacking is probably not that impactful overall in dynasty, but I actually think in this format it could work out nicely with the watered down rosters. It'll help boost your weekly upside, which should give you a nice advantage over the average team in this league. Plus give you additional upside once you hit the playoffs. Compared to a 10 team league, where the primary goal should simply be to have as many elite players as possible.
That 4th round is absurd on multiple levels compared to UD lol.
In a QB hungry room, I don’t see any issues pulling up Stroud, Fields and/or Goff.
How’d the team turn out?
I have the setting for both percentages to show. But I focus way more on slate % than tournament %.

Pretty good. I was able to get both QBs at cost.
Fields, Stroud
Jeanty, Monty, Kaleb, Mason, Giddens, Eli, Lloyd
Nico, Higgins, Wilson, Jamo, Meyers, Hollywood, Higgins, Tre
Pitts, Fannin, Conklin
Caleb, Purdy
Jeanty, CMC, ETN, Javonte, Dowdle
DJM, Rice, Tet, Jennings, Reed, Coleman, Higgins, Dyami, Turpin, Robinson
Kmet, Henry, Juwan
I’d probably stop at 9 WRs and add to another position. But it’s solid.
Yea I almost went 4 TEs there.
That’d have been reasonable given the capital invested.
QB, RB, and TE are fine, but I think I’d definitely pass on Turpin and maybe even Dyami. DRob seems fine with Purdy.
A little Bully QB action. I was going to go with naked Hurts, but Goedert fell 12 spots past ADP and I didn't have a TE yet.
Hurts, Mahomes
JT, Pollard, BRob, Giddens, Justice, Blue, Hunter
CD, Terry, Worthy, Ridley, Pittman, Hollywood, Keenan, Wicks,
Goedert, Pitts, Conklin
Purdy, Dak, Sanders
CMC, Chuba, Mason, Benson, Dobbins, James
Lamb, Hill, Devonta, Olave, Jeudy, Aiyuk, NWI, Bech
Kincaid, Ferguson, Juwan
