Skater Nomad posts a disappointing video today. No scenes of Hannah and zero nomadic content just the inside of a casino.
OG trooper vlogs were so good, it's crazy that 10 years later he likely has the same bankroll as when he first moved to Vegas.
Will we see history repeat itself and see the trooper waiting tables and dealing again?

Putting in 2BB to get 4 cards and see two flops is a potential gold mine if your lottery ticket comes in. Otherwise it’s just 2BB. Who cares?
Those that sit out are generally nits and they’ve told you as much so punish them accordingly.
To me it looked like regs were trying to increase their edge against fish, trying to get the weaker players to play a game they have a bigger disadvantage in. Also looked like an attempt to make the table less nitty so the regs could win more. One downside is it slows things down and makes some weaker players feel uncomfortable.
JMO but I thought it looked silly. If you want to win more and you’re that serious about it, then why play in a 1-3 NL game with a $300 max buy-in? Just play the 2-3 game in the same room or go to the Wynn which has bigger stakes and better action.

He controls who plays on his table, so he generally tries to only allow people he knows on that table. Even more so now, when his wallet is thin. It seems unlikely that we'll hear back any same-table details.

Definitely agree with this. My last trip to Las Vegas, I chopped a $1,500 pot with another player in a bomb pot at $1/3 NL. It brings out the gambool in some players. And for icing on the cake, two players in their 80s almost mixed it up at the table because one guy would only put up $5 for the bomb pots, electing to stiff the dealer of the $1 toke. 😀

Making the games look more gambooly than a normal game will attract the tourists in droves.
It’s increasing your rate vs fish without introducing much risk.
I say this knowing I scooped 4 of these on my last trip in Vegas. So YMMV but they can open up games in a HURRY.

Vlog was pretty decent. I personally like HH general strat and employed parts of it in deeper Vegas games the last couple times I went out.
The checking range oop is less profitable, because the general rec is more fit or fold, and once you get to 2/5 deep stack or higher the regs are pretty balanced.
The in-position stuff HH advises does indeed just run over the average Vegas table via redline. You don’t get the value you do most places, but regs just overfold so often in Vegas.

I haven't seen this but don't have a problem with it. As people have said these hands can take a long time. It's even more true in games where people are short stacked like 1/2 nl since the money goes in a lot easier. Dealers dealing with 4-5 way all ins for 2 pots have a lot of work to do and can often get stiffed by several people breaking even.

He sure was lucky. He flopped the nut straight twice? That's only happened to me a couple three times in 20 years of playing.

Yeah, that’s what they do at Bellagio and/or Wynn 5/10. It’s like 30 per person on the bomb but they take 7 out for timed rake. So, it’s 23 per person or something.
I think I remember they are the lame NL holdem bombs tho.

It's amazing that Rice decided upon poker as a career choice. If ever there was a guy who craves the stability of a steady paycheck it's Rice. He needs to check himself into a mental institution at the slightest hint of volatility or negative variance. Losing less than a single buyin is all it takes to entirely derail him.
So what does he do? He comes up with a way to play even nittier so that it's virtually impossible for him to ever lose much. He literally sits at the table folding for hours on end just racking up tier points for status/comps and chasing promos. The only way he ever wins anything at the table is if he coolers someone with AA v KK and it holds up.
The only problem is this system also makes it impossible for him to ever win much either. But he convinces himself that he's happy with making $6 per hour because he can just live like a homeless bum for virtually nothing. Don't worry about the fact that he could make 5x as much with zero volatility just by dealing instead of playing and thus affording a much better lifestyle.
He is crazy, he will qualify for this freeroll tournament and says if he is dealing that day, he won't take the day off and play this. lol
I can't imagine more than 300 to 400 people actually qualifying and showing up for it.
