Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

I'm down to 9 fasts remaining after this one. I have 6 slow teams remaining in the last few rounds. It'll be nice to take a break. I probably won't start post-draft drafting until the schedule is released, just to take roughly a month off.

Double tapped Kyler/Fields. Chase Brown fell to 47. I almost got Olave falling to 71. I ****ed up and forgot I had Barkley then took Shipley lol. Oh well, maybe it'll still work. I think I added enough upside to the WR room.

Kyler, Fields

Barkley, Brown, Mason, Dowdle, Shipley, Mitchell

Wilson, Tet, Pearsall, Meyers, Mims, Harris, Legette, Williams, Slayton, Horton

McBride, Higbee

I can't remember when the schedule comes out. Is it usually a month after the draft? I'll definitely be waiting until then.

I saw a stream of Liam's where he paired Saquon and Shipley, but I think he had a 7 or 8 RB room, so maybe it's better in that sense.

He also brought up an interesting tactic where if you draft Saquon, you should sometimes draft Allgeier to get leverage on the Bijan drafter. Then the opposite if you draft Bijan, to draft Shipley for leverage on the Saquon drafter.

Last year the NFL schedule was released on 5/15. UD released BBM on 4/29.

And yeah, I've never been sold on that strategy actually having any material EV difference. I'll certainly draft Allgeier on Saquon teams, but it's not because I think I'm gaining leverage on Bijan teams. If Bijan goes down, all of the Allgeier teams benefit and all of the Bijan teams suffer.

Allgeier isn't projecting nearly as well as Bijan, which kind of defeats the leverage argument. You aren't slotting Allgeier as the #3 overall pick next to Saquon if Bijan gets injured. But even if that theory was correct, it's going to benefit all other teams with active first round players too. I think it might boost a first round WR team even more than a Saquon team, because the net value and draft capital of the RB on the first round WR teams is going to generally be less than on a Saquon team.

The fantasy community has always had a weird love for Allgeier, and he's really not that good lol. But maybe I'm wrong.

Pretty standard team. Chasing the Dak/CD/Tet double. Keenan fell to 167. I guess we're at the full blown retirement concern stage. If so, that would suck for my 14%, but he's easily worth these prices.

Nix, Dak, Milroe

JT, Monty, Benson, Corum, Brashard, Jarquez

CD, Tee, Tet, Sutton, Golden, Keon, QJ, Keenan

Warren, Gesicki, Higbee

Only drafting second year players (completely unintentional)

Ended up ok I think

Mahomes, JJM, Geno

Judkins, Tracy, Sampson, Benson, Corum, Hill, Croskey-Merritt

Nabers, MHJ, Worthy, Addison, McMillan, Shaheed, Pierce, Tucker

Bowers, Higbee

I like it.

Also how am I supposed to lower my Miami exposure when they let Tyreek fall all the way to the end of the 3rd round?

Haha, I haven't seen him there in ages on UD.

Here is another gross 4 QB team. I don't think it's terrible but certainly not my favorite.

Baker, Stafford, Milroe, Dart

Kyren, Chuba, Ford, Dobbins, Justice, Tucker

Puka, Drake, Flowers, Jennings, Egbuka, McMillan, Kyle Williams

Kelce, Loveland, Otton

3 double stacks

Goff, Penix, AR

Kyren, ETN, Dowdle, Harvey, Tucker, Herbert

ARSB, London, Hill, Jennings, Aiyuk, Pittman, Noel, Dyami

LaPorta, Pitts, Juwan

That’s a nice build to chase AR’s upside.

When someone tries to be like you, but they ain't you.

With this team, I've officially maxed everything on DK. Nice to end on a high note.

Mahomes, Dak

Pollard, Mondre, Guerendo, Sampson, Dowdle, Mitchell, Shipley

Lamb, Ladd, Terry, Worthy, Olave, Pickens, Tolbert, MWill

Kincaid, Kmet, Higbee

Congrats! Time to max UD haha

I feel good about this one

Kyler, Stroud, Dart

Jeanty, chuba, Skattebo, Benson, Braelon, Shipley

Nico, MHJ, Rashee, Jennings, Aiyuk, Keenan, Tillman, Ky Williams

Njoku, Goedert, Higbee

I think I'm going to take a shot at the $33 single entry. Should strategy change at all in smaller field (800) single entry drafts?

Don’t have a lot of Lamar , but got this. Not sure I like it haha

Lamar, Love

Jeanty, Chuba, Henderson, Javonte, Hill, Blue

ARSB, Rashee, Burden, Egbuka, Bateman, Wicks, Ky Williams, Slayton, Horton

Warren, Likely, Gesicki

Really happy with this minus all the knee injuries haha

Goff, Tlaw, Shaddeur

Hampton, Jones, Sampson, Dowdle, Martinez, Shipley

Btjr, ARSB, Rashee, Olave, Aiyuk, Shaheed, Gabe, Horton, Savion

Laporta, Goedert

Nice. I don’t think I have any BTJ/ARSB. I keep getting picks in the top 5. It’s getting old, because I really like the back half lol. That last CD team I posted was from the 1.02.

You can probably chase slightly less upside. Less rookies, not as much stacking, fade uncertain QB teams, etc.

Though, the advancement structure is still kind of rough for a contest that small. I guess that’s how they get to a 6 team final.

UD’s smallest contest is 864 with advancement of 4/12, 1/4, 1/4 and an 18 seat final.

Well nice to see there's still fish in the $33 SE

I guess if you only have one shot to get your stack.

lol

Well, alrighty then.

I think it's got a chance

Mahomes, Caleb

JT, Walker, Bigsby, Guerendo, Dowdle, Allen, James

BTJ, DJM, Rice, Aiyuk, Kirk, QJ, NWI, Gabe

Njoku, Kmet, T. Ferguson

Give me all the olds lol

Allen, Tlaw

CMC, Chuba, Skattebo, Davis, James, Hunter

Nabers, Rashee, Hunter, Diggs, Aiyuk, Thielen, Ayomanor, Dyami, Mwill

Njoku, Kincaid, Fannin

Old people score too haha.

This one was fun. Herbert fell to 141, and I was able to wrap QJ around to 148. Another Keenan fall to 165, but maybe I'm just the sucker. Hopkins was drafted ahead at 161.

Kyler, Herbert, Milroe

Gibbs, Hampton, Charbs, Pacheco, Wright, Shipley

Reek, Flowers, Pearsall, Burden, Diggs, QJ, Keenan, Big Mike

McBride, Conklin, Arroyo
