Not speaking for the mods here but in general, when a "hot topic" gets touched by the president, it's fair/reasonable to rehash the arguments about it (pro and con) in the thread about the president imho.

You would be right if out of the blue, with no trans issue being picked by trump recently, someone started hijacking here with pro trans in sport or anti trans in sport takes

It looks like the discussion started almost 10 pages ago. It seems like it could it warrant its own discussion since in the 10 pages I don't see really anything about it relating to Donald Trump. If it does not bother you guys, then by all means continue here; I just think it would be better suited in its own thread.

While everyone is arguing about trans athletes, the subject of this thread is waging war on education and science, deporting people that are here legally to foreign prisons, shredding the constitution, wrecking the economy, and slowly trying to install a fascist dictatorship.

It was impossible to discuss the topic given some eccentric reading of the whole site rules by radical leftists mods basically required us to agree with radical gender theory.

It was considered a violation of forum rules to consider trans ness a mental illness for example (even if experts worldwide did that for decades until very recently), it was considered a violation of forum rules to deny a gender detached from sex exists and so on. Basically you could only discuss the topic within the framework of the most radio trans activists.

Ofc people failed to do so routinely and got banned for it a lot of times and so on

There should be nothing inherently political about trans people. Its a core piece of Trumps administration though. They campaigned hard on anti-trans rhetoric, spending well over 100,000,000$ on the topic. Its the issue the administration and their sock puppet news sources trot out anytime they need to distract.

So, you might not like it, and you might wish it would go away (I know I do!) but thats not the reality

Keep in mind here I refer to trans ness being EXCLUSIVELY linked to self identification.
