The day they start doing stand up game, 7-2 etc by default at 1-3 NL is the day I quit poker. I'm all for fun but keep that stuff in the higher limits with the smaller player pools where those players all will play them.
I'm not playing Venetian 1-3 NL where 5-10 minutes is the double board PLO bomb pots every dealer change and some people sit out. I still can't believe the player pool talked management into making it default though.
I could understand if the whole table decided on it but not every table by default. I mean if you wanna copy Texas poker, might as well kill the 2-3 and just make it 1-3 $200-$1000 and match the stacks. Just go wild.
It's already $1/3NL he plays at Horseshoe, I think there is only a couple places in LV that still play $1/2NL.
Only difference is $200 to $500 buy instead of $100 to $300. So, he can still do his nit $200 buy in, but the game plays a bit bigger so he will be much more at risk of getting all his cheddar in play.
The few times I've played it, the Horseshoe 2/3 is a LOT different than the 1/3. All the promo grinders are gone. They're over in the 1/3. There was none of the limp, limp, limp, 5 to the flop for 15 bucks total that there is in the 1/3.

I had the opposite happen. The 2-3 NL had all the tier grinders and no action so I dropped down to 1-3 NL which had more action.
So I just came back from 10 days of vegas, and played mostly at the Aria, despite having the most decent regs at the 2/5 (in my opinion). I just didn't like the location, atmosphere or the service at the venetian.
We stayed at the horseshoe, but the 1/3 or 2/3 were crap with short stacks and made me spew hard. Discipline was hard to find for me at that place 😃
Wish I had played some more at the bellagio, since it had the best 2/5 games when I pulled an all nighter the last day we were there.

HAHAHAHAHA looks like Diesel has finally given in and might have gotten a dealing job outside of the WSOP at Bellagio or Aria or maybe a circuit job or the WSOP itself. He's definitely transitioning into more dealing as he should with his single digit hourly. He's keeping it a secret for now.
LuvDaVlogs, looks like Diesel has finally started posting his daily results including exact time played. Hopefully he keeps it up. Would be interesting to see his exact hourly but also his daily swings or lack thereof.

Come one, do some research and get yourself up to date before you think people here is clowning on Rice for getting a job without a context.
The context his him being an arrogant smug clown for years pretending to be a pokerpro,marketing himself as a pokerpro and for looking down on "normal" people that is 10x more successfull than him in all areas of life. While he is moving all his cans of garbage around from room to room on a weekly basis with a bungee chord on top. The people he is looking down on for standing in line to check into their hotel, or being so stupid that they pay for a drink on the strip is people that have money to buy a new Omega or Rolex, they eat at solid resturants or make quality food at home while he makes the most disgusting dishes out there in his freaking ricecooker wich is the most valuable asset he owns. The guys he is looking down on actually have a life, they meet and sleep with hot women, they earn good monthly salary,have their shyt in order++.
Not only that,he has repeatedly bragged about him not needing to even play 2-5 because he according to Rice "makes more money than he even needs" at 1-2 and 1-3 NL. Yeah sure,that is why you have to start working as a dealer? Because you crush the games and makes more money than you need? LMAO

Gonna disagree with you on Venetian.
Putting in 2BB to get 4 cards and see two flops is a potential gold mine if your lottery ticket comes in. Otherwise it’s just 2BB. Who cares?
Those that sit out are generally nits and they’ve told you as much so punish them accordingly.

He’s had ups and downs, but he’s always innovating and adapting and trying new things. He’s never become a solid winner at playing poker, but has been able to use poker to help generate income for many years. He took a chance, and probably went all in, on a business venture that didn’t work out.
Credit to him for picking himself up and “getting” back out there.
I don’t know what trooper Thursday brought in for him, but if it’s even $500 a week that’s a good $25,000 a year if he can manage to be breakeven in the games. That’s a good start.
Most people don’t have a one-day a week gig that grosses them that kind of cash.
Add in YT income and he’s probably sitting on ~$30k-$35k a year right there. Plus, he already has ready-made merch sales to rekindle and add more income.
Add in a permanent PT job or temporary FT dealing gig and he has the makings of a decent/moderate income.
He’s got a good woman who seems to love him for who he is, which is more than a lot of people can say.
As ive said many times, his hustle may be backwards at times, but he is a hustler and grinder in his own way. He’ll be alright.
