I guess I don’t know what All American really means. I have a buddy that was a five time all American in football for three of his four years and two years for track. I don’t know how you have 12 champion finals in swimming in a college athletic career unless a top 8 finish in each championship race is a separate honor.

The desires of the roughly 5-6 dozen trans people that can be competitive in some way in some sport at the college or professional level does not outweigh the pragmatic interests of all trans people everywhere to not have a target on their backs.

It also doesn’t outweigh the fact that women’s sports were designed to benefit BIOLOGICAL women who are discriminated in a discrete way, generally by being shoehorned into more feminine roles due to lack of resources for sports.

The same issue is not what trans women and men are fighting for. They’re actually fighting for the opposite needs, which is being more integrated. Making them the target of society by shoehorning them into women’s sports does the opposite of what they are trying to accomplish.
