The mechanics of click backs?

Hey guys, first time posting here. I've been studying poker for a year (6max cash game), and I'm quite familiar with concepts and I can understand most of them. But when I watch tournaments or highstakes cash, I've seen a lot of great players making click back (Bencb, Fedor Holz, Linus,...). At first I thought it's just a low SPR thing, but then I saw Linus did it when playing with Stefan on a highstakes cash game. I wonder what is the mechanics behind these min raises. What is the benefit? In which situation can we implement it? And what type of holdings do we click back with?
