PokerStars confirms new rewards program: Chests
Do you think it's good for the future of poker and growth in number of recreational players that stars is adopting a ver
This is probably a stupid question but i've only got 30,000 of the 50,000 points for the next chest which expires 22nd March. I won't play enough to get the reward so presumably I should downgrade chests or this chest will expire and i'll get nothing this month?
so.. no more rewards in any form for Belgian players. And the rake is going up too for my preferred sng format :s
How is the new reward program? Maybe I should go live somewhere else :(
So if you don't complete a chest by a certain time, the chest resets to 0 right? So say you completed 35000 of 50000 points and won't be able to earn 15000 points for $125 chest in say a short amount of time. Let's just say in about 2 days. You either let it expire or you could click on exchange where it would go to a lower chest level. Does anyone know what numbers you are looking at if you click on exchange? Does it actually show you what are the exchange option going to be before you decide to click exchange as oppose to not doing it?
Is it going to be something like earn 1000 points or 2000 points or 5000 points but now they give you much more than 2 days? But basically, the 35000 out of 50000 points that you earned is wasted? But the difference here is well at least you going to earn some type of chest that is much smaller amount as oppose to you playing and earning maybe 5000 points in the next 2 days at max and those points are wasted so well the 5000 points you earn in the next 2 days would be something you would unlock?
@PaulyJames200x In your example, if you exchange you will downgrade to Silver but get a $40 chest straight away and a new 28 day timer.
If you know you won't reach the point requirement then you should exchange otherwise you are right, all acquired points would be lost for no rb.
Okay so I go from gold to silver. So there is a $40 chest. How many total points is would that require? Gold required 50000 points and I got about 35000 points but can't earn 15000 points in 2 days.
20k for Silver
So you get $40 chest for hitting 20000 points for silver. So that is about how much percent rb? Gold is $125 chest for 50000 points and I recall that is 25% rb.
How exactly do you calculate the amount of points you earn for rake you pay? Example, you play a $22 tournament and pay $2 in rake. You earn how many points exactly? I thought not long ago, it was something like for every $1 in rake you earned like 5 something but I forgot what that something was? That was with the old starscoin right? I recall it was something like you get 5 per $1 rake but forgot what this was.

Silver is 20% rb.
You earn 100 points for every 1$ raked.
Thanks.
Games are absolutely dead.
Yeah. Discord is basically players complaining about the bugs and the new rb system. They really **** the bed unfortunately.
Evening on the weekend and only a single pool (PLO100) running. 1 regular PLO500 and 1 regular PLO200 table. RIP Stars.
On one hand it's a sad story given the background of the site and what it stood for at it's peak.
On the other hand it's kinda deserved, because Pokerstars in the last decade or so has stood for nothing but corporate greed/profits above all, so it's somewhat satisfying to see it all come around, resulting in their downfall.
One could probably do a thesis on their "work" and how it resulted in the most successful poker brand being run into the dirt, despite their initial (unchallengeable) position in the market.
Hey guys, just wanted to throw this question out there about Chests.
I used to move up to a certain level and then exchange my chests right way to move back down and keep clearing at a lower level. I can't seem to to that anymore. Maybe they changed it so that you need a certain amount of points before exchanging and levelling down or a certain amount of time needs to pass.
Does anyone know the answer to when can you exchange a chest and level down?
Right now I'm at Silver chests that take 20k points to clear. I was previously at Bronze which is 6k.
As I'm earning points on my first Silver chest, I've accumulated more that 6k points, and at this point I still can't do an exhange.
PS Support did reply to me and let me know a certain amount of points needs to be earned before doing a chest exchange now, even though that was not the case previously. However, they couldn't say exactly what amount of points is needed.
some mobile games are moving on from chests, time to bring back supernova.
supernova (elite) was the best thing ever
if stars wants to bring back the good times bringing supernova back would be ideal
Did I just lose my Select status? seeing a chest that I have to complete... They usually warn me before I fall below the required points, or did they change something?
^ what are you playing out of curiosity?
supernova (elite) was the best thing ever

yeah of course
but chests is just a gimmick
chest are hard to trace, hard to analyse, hard to argue against
chests are just a way to do cuts with more freedom
when they give you a ticket, or a whatever, as a part of a randomized bullshit, its to save money
giving you a ticket for a tournament cost them nothing at all or next to nothing, in comparison with real money
truth is, supernova costed pokerstars a whole lot more than chest. obv they are all ******ed because it was already part of the rakeback so it didnt -really- costed them money, but pokerstars is obv getting greedy af
with supernova i was getting a whole lot more of rakeback, with chests I get less rakeback, and forced into loopholes of getting tickets I dont care about that are worth next to nothing
supernova was straight up
points = money, or things worth money
chest = 1/3 chance to get this bs that cost pokerstars nothing, 1/3 to get this other bullshit, 1/20 to get real money
I wouldnt be surprised that somewhere theres some analyst that goes to the hq, here I saved you 2 million dollars this year with our new rakebck system, costed 130k to hire me, 30k to set it up
i mean, you gotta know when youre getting ****ed in the ass
corporate greed is so endless and infuriating, its just like in magic the gathering, edging every ´little corner to get as much as they can... its like they forgot theyre printing on cardboard and already selling the cardboard 5000 times the price. idk man, yeah I agree get your profit and ****, but its actually way more disgusting than just a profit margin
chests are just a convenience for pokerstars not for the players, now its shady as ****, how can you tell what % of rakeback there is, and even if they did get caught, they'd still have another layer of protection (aka I gave you this 5$ ticket so your raakeback was exactly 14% or whatever -but im not gonna mention that the 5$ ticket did not cost ME 5$, but for you its supposedly worth 5$-)
