President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Xi vs Trump is like Magnus Carlsen playing chess against a chicken.

Warren Buffet is going to die of a heart attack when it finally hits him. This is exactly what he's been stockpiling cash for, and Trump will crater the markets more than Warren ever could've dreamed. The hit of adrenaline is going to pop his poor 95 year old heart.

Wealth gap shrinking, people still upset.

Good point. If AOC gets off on shrinking wealth gaps, she must be soaking wet by now.

Dumbocrats: Upset.

GOP: Deeply damaging the entire global economy and upending the rule of law in the USA.

GOP voters = ****ing morons

lol at thinking china is gonna bend

Despite what Trump thinks China’s main objective before was not to screw over the US and it still isn’t. US consumers spending less over uncertainty about the future seems like a bigger concern.

hmm....

60 Minutes was able to get access to government records of the Venezuelans and compare them to domestic and international arrest records and court filings. The news program reported that they “could not find criminal records for 75 percent of the Venezuelans—179 men—now sitting in prison.” Less than a quarter have an arrest record in the U.S., and they are mostly for nonviolent offenses.

It's still a problem. Guess who gets hurt the most during a recession?

I get it, it's just funny that the hair on fire complainers complain no matter what happens.

Number goes up, people doing well, but wealth gap too big OMG!

Number goes down, wealth gap to decreases, but OMG recession.

It's still a shock to see USA transform into a place running on cronyism, toadyism, anti-science, corruption and levels of thinking and competence that are quite close to being the same as mentally disabled, with a clearly partisan main court. And a clear stench of fascism. And a man immune from the law at the centre of it?

And your elected individuals weaselling up to him.

It's quite horrific.

Historically, feels like the reign of Caligula.

Will cost ~$100 million.

Good thing we saved all that government waste

Sounds like the coronation of King Donald.

Communism ftw

Thats very reductive. More like fixing the wage to productivity ratio to support the middle class. It's pretty obvious that we need a system that rewards innovation and incentivizes entrepreneurism while also ensuring an accumulation to the public good and the development of healthy social systems.

Or you can do that grade school communism vs capitalism dichotomy stuff. Too extremist for me.

And if you actually have inside info Trump is considering a pause and buy a bunch of calls before that’s reported that’s illegal. But if you buy a bunch of calls and just lie to CNBC that Trump is considering a pause that’s probably fine.

The former is insider trading, the latter is market manipulation. Both are illegal.

If you punch yourself in the nuts, you'll convince your opponent that you're crazy and he shouldn't punch you in the nuts, it's called game theory

Unless you're a politician, then you can do it

Good thing we saved all that government waste

A friend of mine from Russia just messaged me that these are so incredibly stupid, and people in Russia hated them because they just destroyed all the roads and caused traffic for weeks after because of all the road closures and repaving.

A military dictator style parade or...

Feed 40 million kids breakfast for 180 days.

Enroll 10k new kids in head start for a year.

10-20 million new books for kids.

1700+ new mental health counselors for kids (1 for every 450 students - recommended amount).

I'd be embarrassed if I still supported this guy honestly.

The trumpers here are salivating.

source isn't exactly top notch, literally show of farce written on it, no mention elsewhere.

It does sound like bollocks to me

I'm seeing it in a lot of places.
