Does these mean they are swiping player's cards at the table instead of the desk having to do it?

And does this mean the dealers are now using the screens to move people from one seat to another, and empty a seat, instead of having to yell "6 out, 3 moved to 6", etc?

I can let you know tomorrow as I plan on putting in a session.

Dealers are handling seat changes and swiping players in at the tables. There are also multiple self serve kiosks to add your name to waiting lists for games placed around the perimeter of the room.

This…

However the floor has gotten super lazy and takes 5-10 minutes to fill a seat.

Now they just need more dealers. Longest list at Foxwoods or Mohegan is 7. 50 on the list for 1-2 and 38 for 2-5 at twin.

It's clear at this point that they don't have dealers. With fwoods and encore both downsizing they should start poaching maybe?

I haven't seen any posts or articles about Encore and Foxwoods downsizing. Do you have evidence of this ?

Foxwoods is downsizing, moving to the 28 table new room next month.

It makes sense that no one from RI or MA is gonna drive to Foxwoods if the river and encore have promos.

I wish they went with Poker Atlas instead of Bravo. With Poker Atlas you can put your name on the list in the app.

Unless I'm missing something, we still have to call Twin and talk to someone to get on a list, right?

Certain rooms allow being added to a list via Bravo. It would be nice if that were implemented. I won't hold my breath.

Was checking Bravo today (Tuesday) and they have a 5/10 PLO game with a long list.

Does anyone know if this game plays with straddles and what the buy in range is? I can play the $5 BB games in the area with $10 staddles (I try not to look like a nit so I straddle) but a bigger game with $20 or $25 straddles would play a bit too big for me.

Also wonder if all the extra promo drops at Twin/Bally's I'm reading about on this thread apply to PLO. In most of the other New England venues that have PLO the promos (e.g.. jackpot, high hand) don't apply so no promo drop for PLO.

Finally is this looking like a Tuesday only thing? I ask because I've never played at for example Parx but per Bravo (and table talk) Tuesday seems to be the "big game day" there at least in terms of PLO.

Yes, PLO only runs on Tuesdays at Twin, and only $5/$10. There was a period when they first launched PLO (in 2023) where $1/$2 or $2/$5 ran often, but that isn't the case any more. Maybe after the expansion (IE when they get more dealers) it will be common again. I sure hope so!

The $5/$10 PLO game has a $2,500 max buyin, and they do allow straddling to $20. I don't know how often people straddle in the current game though.

The upcoming promo drops taken at Twin will only affect the raked games - $1/$2 NLH, $2/$5 NLH, $1/$2 PLO, and $2/$5 PLO. The timed games ($5/$10 NLH, $5/$10 PLO) will be excluded from the promos.

Also is the PLO game 9 handed or 8 handed?

$5-10 PLO regularly runs on Tuesdays, starts around 11:00. Most players straddle for $20, 9 handed, game plays quite large.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what the time charge is on the 5/10 PLO (and 5/10 NLH if they have it)?

Thanks. Still wonder how an early week game (there and at Parx) is the big game of the week :(

for now...time is $10/half

Parx started years ago because a particular whale would go and play on Tuesdays and it snowballed from there.

Also there's a dynamic where Philly area players would go to AC (particularly so in the Summer) on weekends and play at Parx on Tues nights

Thanks to you and the other poster for replying. Too bad I work on Tuesdays!

That soon? where'd you hear this?

Did $5/$10 PLO really run last night? When did it start and end?

Any updates or changes in the past month? Any word on tournaments or anything like that? Thanks

It's an absolute failure. They can't get dealers. We were told they would be hosting circuit events which they COULD if they had dealers but they can't get dealers. PERIOD. Now here comes a bunch replies about how I'm wrong and everything is great with massive success lmao see you at foxwoods' epic new room
