In that context efficacy appears to refer to immune response instead. They didn't have a test to distinguish natural vs vaccine-induced antibodies at that time.

If someone faced consequences for not getting vaccinated, then they were, quite by definiton, not forced to get vaccinated. If they had been forced to get vaccinated, they would be vaccinated.

But you are going to lie and try to claim that I said "there were no consequences for not vaxing."

No one forced you to get vaccinated, but no one guaranteed you that your choice would have no consequences, either.

For example, companies are well within their rights to require vaccination for employment.

You could say "people were forced to vaccinated if they wanted to keep their jobs." You would get no argument from me. That happened to a lot of people. But I'm fine with it. Again, businesses are well within their rights to require things like that for employment.
