Brad Booth wants to be relavent again...

I don't know. I commend his willingness to want to pay back debts and such.

But, why now?

A degenerate is always going to be a degenerate. He's most likely pulling this to get some cred back from some OGs and then rug pull everyone in the path at some point. Haven't we seen this movie before?!? And again.

But...Who knows?!?

Not listening to that long interview but curious if he talks about stealing his friends truck/camping supplies and going into the desert essentially faking his death to scam more money out of the few people left who trusted him.

I'm convinced. Where do I transfer funds?

I think he holds the record for the biggest -EV televised poker play.

If he was to pay his debts and apologise then I would be inclined to respect him as a person for that but would it convince me to loan money to him? No.

I think earning money of his own to fund his game is the way forward.

For the record it is probably just me but I wouldn't loan money to my closest friend for gambling or poker purposes but I am a tight prick.

Wait, I just seen he faked his death in this as part of the scam. Get ****ed, his prospects of getting credit are dead for real.

This is what I imagine happens when someone raises a certain popular Finns BB. Hello Paisting was this your coach?

Brads done a lot of shitty things, but that will never take away from the fact that he’s still a small town Canadian kid who made it big. Yukon Brad forever

Well that bluff worked and it was absolute epic at that time.

Cliffs?

I was one of the few posters who predicted he was alive after he disappeared into the woods.

I think he owes me like 8k. Haven’t heard from him in years fwiw

But Booth's gambling "sickness" caught up with him once again in 2020, when he was reported missing before turning up safe months later. Booth had taken his roommate's truck and told him he was going camping before dropping contact and spending weeks in the woods. "All roads led up to that," he said. "Sometimes in life you just have to take a timeout."

Booth said he "certainly tried to make amends" with the roommate but that "due to my past behaviors it may have come across just as another bullshit lie."

Barry Greensteins analysis of this hand in a conversation he had with Phil I was pretty funny.

He includes an email in the article to contact him and get paid. May take awhile but do it and keep us posted lol

he's grinding low stakes NL and owes tons of money to tons of people. I wouldn't buy that debt for 100 dollars.

I thought the video was a reasonably interesting watch.

I learnt as much from hearing Brad talk as from the Tom Dwan interview with Joey I watched on YouTube from a couple of years ago.

I've always thought that this guy had a good heart but he just had an overwhelming degenerate gene and lost himself along the way.

It's almost a certainty that he will be at the WSOP this summer firing a full slate of tournaments on a staker's roll--and he's doing this media stuff to get out in front of any criticism/blowback for debts and shady behavior.

I hope he makes it right and there's a happy(ish) ending to the whole story.

maybe because it was/is a bullshit lie. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice then I'm an idiot.

It's one thing to scam complete strangers but when you rob family and friends you just burned all your bridges.

why is that a certainty? he's never been a tournament grinder.
He's a known scammer who would have to find someone dumb enough to stake him in a format of poker he probably doesn't even have an edge in. Seems unlikely.

I believe the saying is "fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. Fool me ya can't get fooled again"
