Thats super annoying resetting 150bb. I dunno why anyone would want to play vs that tbh especially when they dont suck
Thats not true though. More so I think berri is always in some type of challenger mood where he even agreed to play Linus or markus in NLHU. The guy says you can get home turf, why would you turn it down / not ask for it?

its like in chess where they say you don’t want to play unknown lines vs magnus carlsen, you want to stick to heavy theory to have a shot because magnus is just too good at chess
guessing amsogood isn’t studied past 150bb and doesn’t feel like he can outplay berry in “street poker” i guess or well less studied poker

Ya I think the motives for resetting stacks is pretty obvious. In HU at least in the matches Ive played is its kinda boring when at that depth. It would be way more reasonable if it was 250-300bb theyd reset at, but to each their own. I would also assume someone restacking so aggressively is pretty f'n nitty. Playing a nit hu is excruciating.
This of course is pure speculation and not attempting to come off like Im being critical of them personally, just more the general idea of resetting.
I watched the JRE podcast with Magnus Carlsen a few days ago and seem to remember him saying that the hardest opponents he plays against are the ones who take completely unknown and random lines vs him. Because when he plays other good players he already knows all the moves they are going to make well in advance because he knows all the strategies. I guess he still wins either way lol.
