The news desk at the Washington Post reported on the shift in the paper's editorial direction as a news story in a very short article yesterday. I'm guessing that yesterday's article will be the last thing you see from the WP news desk on this topic, which would be a pretty dramatic shift from the paper's relatively extensive coverage of its decision not to endorse a presidential candidate. And the next time this sort of thing happens, it's entirely possible (and perhaps probable) that the news desk won't be allowed to report on it at all.
