In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there a
Yeah I wonder why he might have chosen to argue about that.
Why are all the shelters and soup kitchens ran by Christian organizations if Democrats care so much about the homeless?
OH because his entire argument is DEPENDENT on it being all.
It doesn't even make sense otherwise. He was trying to insinuate that "Democrats" don't run shelters and soup kitchens. That's the whole point he's trying to make.
JFC you have the worst reading comprehension of anyone I've ever seen, and I just got through demolishing BJ again.

You're the big antisemite, right? Hate Muslims and Sikhs too? Because, for one, all those groups do the same kind of feeding the homeless that Christian Churches do and that probably goes double for the Sikhs.
And yeah, religious groups do dominate the charity world in the USA. But, they certainly aren't all religious. I cook at a homeless shelter once a week with a group and there's no religious element to it.
So you just don't know what a straw man is. Cool.
He LITERALLY MADE THE ARGUMENT that ALL soup kitchens and shelters were run by Christians, and was USING THE ABSOLUTE to make his point. That is the exact OPPOSITE of a straw man, df.
Move the goal posts more. If I said all I meant majority. You're deflecting from the point that Christians vote overwhelmingly Republican. Democrats want to give out needles, abortions, and sex changes for children. But a homeless man asks for a meal and they'll scurry away and make some rationalization that they'd be enabling them by giving them food.
So you just don't know what a straw man is. Cool.

I know what he wrote. I'm fairly confident he did not mean 100% each and every single one. That is a ridiculous position to take about pretty much anything.
So he meant most. That is the reasonable and logical reading of it.
So you set up the logical fallacy that he did mean ALL, in order to easily defeat his 'position'.
Definition of straw man.

So 999 are church run, 1 is democrat run.
His argument is wrong.
Democrats care about homeless.
Understood.

I love all God's children. I hate their demonic religions. Sikhs are cool tho (not their religion).
1 John 2:22: “Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son."
And you're actually making my case that SECULAR Democrats don't give a **** about the homeless.
I said "once a week", but it's once a month. I'm not that nice.
You're the one moving the goalposts, shorty.
If? You visually obviously said "all." And your statement makes no sense with "majority." The answer is trivial. Because Christians do a lot of work in this area. That has nothing to do with whether democrats care about the homeless. Your entire point falls apart if it's not "all."
That was your point? k.......
Democrats want to give out needles, abortions, and sex changes for children. But a homeless man asks for a meal and they'll scurry away and make some rationalization that they'd be enabling them by giving them food.
This is just a bunch of stupid lies you made up in your head and tried to justify by lying about christians running all the homeless shelters.
Embarrassing. And housenuts is defending you. That should be a red flag.
I know what he wrote. I'm fairly confident he did not mean 100% each and every single one.
That's because you have the reading level of a wet tuna sandwich. His point makes no sense if it isn't "all." None at all. The answer to his question if you substitute "majority" for all is trivial and doesn't have any pronounced effect on democrats' caring about the homeless or not - which was his stated point.
The precise reason I called him out.
Like I sad, you don't know what a straw man is. It's attacking an arguments someone didn't make. He LITERALLY MADE THE ARGUMENT.

Why are we distinguishing between Christians and Democrats when Democrats are like 65% Christian?
That actual number is probably closer to 80-85% if you account for burnouts
Like I was raised catholic and I'm closest to pantheistic now but I'd claim non denomination but I'm objectively more Christian than most right wing Christians
this is true when you look at demographic data of the population as there's many false positives, myself included as well
but not so much when it comes to organizations
if i great a business or charity it's not a de-facto christian business or charity unless i specifically make it part of the mission
Lots of shelters are government run. Lots of food organizations are neither government nor religious. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is huge and partners with lots of groups some of which are religious, but it's not religious.
I would guess there's plenty of homeless where you live. Have you bought a meal for one in the last year?
ANECDOTAL!!!
I live in a somewhat rural area in the southern US, but there are some homeless here. The hospital where I work regularly houses and feeds the homeless, and I participate in those programs. So the answer is yes for the last year, and yes for the last week, in fact.
But I'm not a democrat, so I wouldn't count in your statistics.
Lots of shelters are government run. Lots of food organizations are neither government nor religious. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is huge and partners with lots of groups some of which are religious, but it's not religious.
And if one were to poll all the people that worked there, I'd venture it a safe guess that the vast majority (NOT ALL!!) are Christian or religious.
Why are all the banks run by Christians?
They aren't.
Well I didn't mean all. But I bet some Christians work at banks! Or at least some religious people do!
And you said *I* moved the goal posts. hahaha
This is going great, man. Keep it up!
oh man the hits just keep coming
how it started
how it's going
Man, we went from "Democrats do nothing for the homeless" to conceding that "I personally know some very kind and loving Democrats."
Great suceess.
