I 100% agree with Howard Hobson. Basketball is better when more long range shots are taken, and when the advantage of being tall is reduced. It's always been a dumb thing about basketball that being 6'10" + is such a big advantage to the point that people under 6'3" are practically obsolete.

There is a long, long list of 6'3" and under stars and superstars. The game was well-balanced in that regard over the decades, imo. I won't bother to publish it but its awesome, many have slipped out of mind because they didn't have longevity but were All-Stars nonetheless.

Jackson Hayes was one of the only + players for the Lakers yesterday. In only 7 minutes. He had a solid 6-6 FG game in the previous win.
I don't know why they have so little faith in him that they bring some scrap heap center and give him 19 minutes over Hayes. Hayes is young and tall and has lots of energy and hustle. He doesn't need the ball and will finish lobs. He's a good fit IMO with Lebron/Luka/Reaves.

Apparently Hayes got injured and that's why he left the game. In which case Alex Len getting all those minutes makes sense. Hayes isn't garbage. The Lakers were winning all their games while Hayes was playing 25 minutes a game.
