David Asher, former lead investigator of the State Department's Covid-19 origins investigation during President Trump's first term, told AUS Sky News on Tuesday that "signals intelligence" from China concerning the origins of the virus in Wuhan had been collected by Austrailian intelligence that was later obtained by US CIA.

They of course collaborate: most bio labs do research together and it wouldn't surprise me at all if the US and China were collaborating when the pandemic hit.

For non-programmers this is a "back door" installed on a Contec CSM8000 patient monitoring device, widely used in the US healthcare system. The IP address of the remote server was hardcoded and is redacted here. The backdoor was reported Jan 30 (Thursday).
Basically, the code does a network file system (nfs) mount to the remote server, so the subsequent commands "cp..." copy files from the host device to the remote server.
This code also downloads and executes binaries (i.e. programs) on the device, sourced from the remote server..
Apparently the remote server is connected to a Chinese university.
The FDA also confirmed back door code was also installed on Epsimed MN-120 patient monitors.

Update on DC Mid-air collision: Yesterday I witnessed this joke of a dog and pony show news conference by the NTSB. This incident keeps getting more bazaar. It looks like he's just there to back up the FAA, the helicopter, and sweep everything under the carpet.
This guy from the NTSB kept dancing around simple basic questions about the airspace and how high the helicopter's allowed to be. Instead of answering simple questions he instead started to sob like a baby towards the end because he's sad the people died... Should we even have emotionally delicate people like him in these roles trying to investigate major plane crashes?
When a reporter kept asking him "how high was the helicopter allowed to be", he dances around the question, and when the reported then said he was supposed to be at or below 200 ft, he said "oh I haven't heard nothing about that". This guys covering up for the pilot as well as the FAA. It's not hard to see that.
He then tried to say the controller was getting info that he was at 200 ft. Yes, he did, I posted screenshots and I did notice he dipped to 200 right before the impact when he came right back up to 350 again, to collide with the jet. No matter what he was seeing, they needed to be separated because the jet was descending anyway, and the next time it refreshes the jet could be at 200 ft. He had plenty of time to vector him away, even as he was getting collision alerts.
I hope Trump gets rid of this guy, I don't trust him to investigate a bicycle accident, but that's just me.

The first thing that comes to mind for me is the military is looking at a massive payout to the families and the guy has been instructed not to put anything in tape. It's futile to do but it's what happens when people are desperate. He can't refuse to answer the question for legal reasons, so needs to put on a show and jump on the grenade for the team.
