77's Hu against SB.

77's Hu against SB.

2/3 NL 8 handed. The SB is a reg/fish. Plays ok but calls too much pre. I am 400 effective.

I open the button to 12 with 77's, SB calls, BB folds.

(24 in pot) 3c3s9d...He checks, I bet 10, he calls.

(44 in pot) 3c3s9d6s He checks,

Is my bet sizing right on the flop?

Do I check back this turn or keep betting?

This turn feels like a spot for an overbet. I'd go $60ish. If he calls then I'm probably done putting money in the pot.

Addendum: The solver is almost always checking back on the flop, and as played, is always checking back the turn.

I guess the question is "Is this 'OK reg' calling preflop with enough crap so that a flop bet (and even a subsequent turn bet) may be better than checking?

I think the flop size is fine. Now I would check back turn and look to bluff catch river. Maybe go for thin value on a safe card if he checks again.

I might go a tad smaller preflop but no biggee.

I'm fine with our flop bet and sizing.

I think I would lean to checking back the turn. The flop is completely drawless so what is he calling with? 9x/3x and now even 66 all beat us. We're ahead of small pairs that are unlikely to call down for 4bets and maybe some random overs that are drawing slim. Let's get to the river and see what happens, imo.

Pre and flop are fine. I probably just check behind turn and evaluate river.
