MGM Vegas Properties raising parking and resort fees tomorrow [12/4]
From Review Journal:
That's interesting as resort fees are a service fee and services are usually not taxable.
Edit: I learned that lodging taxes are different from sales tax in that way.
Found this document on the county web site which describes what is and not subject to lodging tax.

So what is comes down to is resort fees are considered the same as room fees in Nevada and their sole purpose it seems, was to screw with reservation systems and deceive patrons.
From Review Journal:https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/c...RESORT FEESResort fees at Bellagio, Aria, Vdara and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will increase $5 to $55 per day. The daily resort fee at MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Delano, Park MGM, Nomad and The Signature will go up to $50
Just gamble enough to get free rooms/no resort fees/no parking fees. All it takes is a couple blackjack sessions.
I noticed they eliminated the one hour of free parking for everyone when I left the other night after stopping at Aria real quick. Free for me but that would be real annoying to be charged $25 if you were in and out in less than an hour.
